"This Warm December" is the first volume of what hopefully will be a long-standing Christmas offering from Brushfire Records artists. The CD is 11 songs, somewhat short at a bit over 31 minutes, but the songs are well done.

You've got a good mix of standards and covers. While the covers are good, I'm focusing mostly on the four new songs for the review.

"No Christmas for Me" by Zee Avi is a new song I think we're going to hear a lot particularly in love song dedications of people wanting their baby back. Avi sounds a lot like Madeline Peyroux to me with a very light jazzy voice.

"Stuck at the Airport" by Money Mark is another new song. Definitely a theme many of us can identify with.

I am really worried Madonna is going to have an on stage incontinence accident really soon....and those undies look HUGE!

Sad music by a person who should spend less time doing onstage impersonations of a 1980's 20yr old and more time trying to save her marriage, and Africa.

First off, let me start off by saying I know this album isn't technically a "Queen" album. It's officially being billed as "Queen and Paul Rodgers". However, I'm filing it under Queen anyway. :)

Freddie Mercury is dead, and I think most everyone assumed that after 1995's "Made in Heaven", that was it for Queen studio material. Mercury was so iconic of a voice, there really was no way you can replace a voice like that. And for the longest time, it stayed that way, until around 2004 when Queen was inducted into the UK Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Things moved, and Roger Taylor & Brian May started working with Paul Rodgers. I downloaded the new songs from iTunes since I already own the album and didn't want to have two copies. Also with the iPod I never really look at CD booklets anymore. I'll be talking about the new songs on Disc 2

1. "For Good" is a beautifully redone here with LeeAnn Rimes and Delta Goodrem. I've never heard of the latter singer but she sings very nice. I could hear this song on Adult Contemporary stations around the country. This version does not stray much from the original Broadway version.
2. "I'm Not That Girl" is sung by Kerry Ellis. This version is more "rocky" with a guitar and drum heard throughout. An extra line at the end of the song "I'm gonna pray that maybe someday I'll be that girl" I'm not sure how I feel about that. I suppose ... Read More:

wow first off, the record company tries to send the world a false sense of hope with bizzy on the album and everyone thought he was back with the band, but no these are outtakes and you can really tell. "nation of thugs" is a standout that would fit on any album and "young thugs" was a decent song. Alot of these tracks feel weak and uninspired and it really was a disappointment after "strength and loyalty." All in all, Bizzy did come back with still creepin, the new bone album (Bone brothers 4 really), but skip this, because the bone thugs are being exploited for money.

I've read other reviews and all the ones 3* and below seem to be looking for a live performance video and not the Christmas story it was meant to be. I absolutely LOVE this video. I've seen them live 4 times as well and would love a DVD of that, but I wonder if they could possibly capture the magic of the live show. This DVD attempts to tell a story with music and I feel it does a wonderful job. I get chills EVERY time I watch this video and usually it's the one thing that can get me into the Christmas spirit anymore. The music is absolutely uplifting! while the story is more than adequate. Go with the vast majority and purchase this item. You won't be sorry.

We have this DVD as well as Here Come the ABC's and we love them. Our almost two year old is recognizing numbers and letters and is mesmerized by the songs.

We enjoy the music as well, and find ourselves singing the songs all day long!
