Listening to this new CD takes me back to the "rocker" days of my youth. I loved it and often put it in a 6 CD rotation with Delbert, Willie and Ray Charles!!!

Nowhere on Earth are you going to find a better live album produced this Centry. Joe has been tearing up stages for nearly 20 years. This set is indicative of where he is at at this particular time in his career. Even though this recording what pieced together from a few different shows recorded in late 2007 it plays seemlessly.
Having seen Joe numerous times I at first thought the crowd seemed a little distant. Joe's crowds can get pretty vocal at times. With the crowd noise kept to a minimum it doesn't seem to interfere with the moments captured here.
The production of this live opus was handled by none other than Kevin Shirley most noted for recent work remastering the Led Zepelin DVD How The West Was Won. Kevin "Caveman" ... Read More:

This is a great album! John plays three distinct sets - the first, mostly accoustic and by himself, is a lot of old favorites and some newer stuff - Set 2 is a blues bar set that you would swear John is channeling Stevie Ray Vaughan! Great guitar work, driving blues, good stuff! Set three is with the rest of the band, doing a lot of his newer stuff - it's a great album.

Bought this for my sister who was really into the Spice Girls at the height of their fame. I've listened to it with her and there are a couple of good songs but I was in my late 20's when this came out so it was a bit past my interest level. Music and vocals are ok. If you are a SG fan, you will like this cd.

I bought this as a replacement to my original. I was so disappointed that after the 3rd time trying to get used to it I threw it into the back seat.
Don't get me wrong, I really like his music. But I'm really stuck on the original versions and I believe I'm getting ripped off when what's on the disk isn't what I expected. They should have put on the cover that the songs were all remakes or refected tracks or whatever.

I really have enjoyed this album. The growth of his music is amazing. I heard some early 90's tracks that showed promise, but nothing like his last two or three albums including his live recordings!

What a disgusting waste of time and money. I sincerely hope no one gave up their day jobs. No more Mannheim Steamroller until they give us what we expect for our good earned money.

Gorillaz is definitely one of the more noticeable musical experiments of the passing decade. The idea of a cartoon character band, devised by Blur's Damon Albarn and comic book artist Jamie Hewlett ("Tank Girl"), was enough to catch my interest. The music that sprung from this unusual premise of a 'band' caught my ear, as well. This namesake album covers a wide variety of genres - everything from soul-funk to hard rock, psychadelic keyboard strolls to Latino-jazz.
The album features a number of quite interesting and compelling musical pieces. "5/4", with a beat inspiring the title, is a very sultry song fusing guitar and keyboards almost deliberately brutally, and the result is very compelling. Most will recognise "Clint Eastwood" with its instantly-catchy chorus. ... Read More:

It isn't as hard as their previous releases. If you loved mosh anthems such as State of the Union or Bricks you may be disappointed. BUT....(and its a big BUT), the song Hero of War (love that song!!!!) on this CD saves it. Even though its acoustic and slow, the lyrics are as hardcore as ever and shows that Rise Against are still themselves, just trying to reach a larger audience. If your a continuing fan or new to Rise, i highly recommend this CD, its not their best but its still better than most of the other new music out right now.
