I'll admit that they're first song, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" didn't catch me like it did everyone else. However i thought i would give them a chance. I love this CD! It is one of the best country albums I have heard this year and it will definetely not disappoint. The best tracks are 2, 3 (my favorite), 6, 8, 10, and 11. They are also a band who does not dissapoint in concert, they sound just as good if not better live. Definetely worth checking out.

There is so much to love about this album--but it doesn't quite reach Tracy's highest standards of excellence. Tracy Chapman has one of the most distinctive and warm voices in music, and from a straight vocal standpoint, everything is as beautiful as it has ever been. Her vibrato is as strong as ever, no hint of effort on her part. Every note seems channeled from some inner well of grace. Her intonations are perfect--floating over her guitar at moments of emotional delicacy, punching on the beat when she decries injustice. Her lyrics are poignant, insightful, but not searing. She no longer sounds as angry as she once was, but just sadder. This is perhaps understandable--she is more than 20 years on from where we first her Talkin' 'bout ... Read More:

and it won't die while Dion is around. Walk the Line and Dream Baby stand out because they are so unexpected, but all the tracks are given a freshness and vitality that makes them enjoyable all over again.

Are you people kidding me? People like this garbage music? This cookie-cutter, paint-by-numbers, bland, moronic crap? If you like this band, then you are NOT trying hard enough. I know it's all opinion, to each his own and all... but really, people. Please. This is rock music at its wost. I mean look at the cover, for chrissakes! These guys are adults? Taking themselves seriously? You can't just absorb all the garbage the radio spews out at you on a daily basis. It's not music, it's a product. Like fast food. Disposable crap.

This album is perfect, and it's imperfection makes it that way. If you could only own one album, this is it. It has it all. It's influence is incalculable. Sell everything you own, and just listen to this. Really.

The album by the Fleet Foxes is a very pleasing album with a folk sound. It is wonderful to listen to on a cold winter day on your Ipod while you are sitting by the fire. The group shows great promise and I hope their future endeavors improve upon what they have started here. Definitely worth looking into if you enjoy folk music, or are looking for something different and new.

Okay, first off, I will admit that I'm NOT a Disney fan. The Disney people know now is a little past my generation. I never really liked Miley Cyrus, I thought Camp Rock was a bad movie, and I can't really get into the Jonas Bros. So to say the least, I was skeptical.
I heard her single, "Get Back" because it was on the radio and I liked it. I downloaded the song, but I never considered getting her entire album until recently. Now, I've been playing it non-stop practically.
The best thing about her is that her lyrics are not specialized towards a particular population. There are obvious lines that are supposed to appeal to her Disney audience (wearing converses in "La La Land"), but songs like "Don't Forget" have no targeted audience. It could ... Read More:

This is a great JM CD if you are already a fan and are looking for that extra acoustic take on some familiar songs. I love the vocal rhythm changes in "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" and the soft guitar in "Belief" I definitely think that this offers a cool, chill feel to John's music, and is a nice tag along with "Where the light is?"

Rush is one of the greatest rock bands ever (hello Hall of Fame! Rush should be in the Hall of Fame by now) and I can't wait to pop these discs into my DVD player, IF I don't scratch the discs' surfaces. This has the same horrible packaging as Cheap Tricks' new "Budokan!" box. The CDs are incredibly snug in cardboard slits, all in a flimsy package. No clam shell case or even slimline jewel cases here. Just a flimsy cardboard package with no trays whatsoever, so every time you do get the discs out, they will scratch, no matter how careful you are. It's frustrating that labels keep having ANTI-JEWEL CASE FEVER and keep issuing things that will scratch after just a few days. Bring back the jewel cases, please. Which is worse for the environment, stacks and stacks of these ... Read More:
