Rogue Ukulele Starter Pack

the "strings" are a cheap, very stretchy plastic, that can't be tuned properly and the tuning knobs don't stay in place so you can't tune it enough to make actual notes. It looks pretty, has the pitch pipe and mini manual. even as a toy it doesn't work because it comes with extremely loose strings that can't be tuned, even by an experience musician. the "strings" are not gauged or properly tied on either. We are going to try to replace the knobs and the strings, since it was a gift for my daughter and can't be returned. Grandma was very disappointed!

Rogue Acoustic Guitar, Blue Burst

I got this guitar due to the smaller size. The neck is the only thing noticibly shorter which is perfect for a small framed person. It is a starter guitar but the sound quality is great. I've only had to tune it the day I got it. I've played it every day since & it's still in tune. I've had it for 3 weeks now. I got the blueburst & it is very attractive.

Rogue Guitar Tool Kit

I really like this kit. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a smaller allen wrench for lowering the strings on my guitar ( behrenger v-tone) therefore a 4 star rating.

Rogue RA-100D Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Black

I've owned this guitar for about 4 months, and am pretty pleased with it. For the price, you can't beat it. The sound is adequate. It seems durable- I've accidentally knocked it over several times, and nothing has broken or come apart. It comes rigged with a decent set of strings too, I'm a lefty so I immediately took them off and strung them the opposite way, and they're still hanging in there. I highly recommend this guitar for a beginner, or for someone who simply wants an inexpensive guitar to take with them or practice alternate tunings with.

Rogue RM-100A A-Style Mandolin, Sunburst

I am new to the mandolin and haven't played any instrument for 30 years so I wouldn't comment on the musical aspects of this mandolin. There are a couple of manufacturing quality defect in the one I purchased. The plating on the tail piece peeled off in the first week. It seemed really thick which is probably what made it start cracking but the copper layer under the nickel is where it delaminated. The other item was that some of the tuning gears are not fully inserted into the headstock. So far neither of these defects has stopped it from functioning.

Bottom line is that this is a great guitar for the price. The strap knob is plastic and rather chincy and the fretboard does not have those dot thingies but the overall instrument is really nice and sounds good.

This was my frist ukelele I purchased and It goes out of tune quite often you would have to tune it ater about 3 songs Id recommend getting a geard tuning pegs to keep it in tune but a great beginning uke! MAHALO!

This was my frist ukelele I purchased and It goes out of tune quite often you would have to tune it ater about 3 songs Id recommend getting a geard tuning pegs to keep it in tune but a great beginning uke! MAHALO!

Rogue RM-100A A-Style Mandolin, Black

I read the reviews before I ordered this mandolin and they were right on. I recieved my order way faster than I expected and even though the outside of pakage took a beating everything inside was safe and sound. I agree that it was just what I expected and I had the picks and a begginers book delivered too. I already shopped around so I knew this was a good value. Even though I was charged shipping for the picks and instruction book I think it was well worth it because it all came right to me.

Rogue Learn-the-Banjo Starter Pack

I've just returned the banjo to the seller after trying to get it in tune for the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure what was wrong with this banjo but I could not get it to even sound close to what a banjo should sound like. I will point out that Musician's Friend has been easy to work with so far. I'll post an update after they receive my return as far as how quickly they credit my refund and if they charge me a restocking fee (they shouldn't as I've returned everything to them in the original packing and in perfect condition).
