Suzuki CL-SC Clarinet

I was extremely impressed with this clarinet. I ordered it for my 5th grader who had never picked up a musical instrument before. I had to help my son put it together the first time as it was a little tight, but by the time he went to his first lesson he was able to assemble it by himself. The very first time he tried to play it, he managed to make a beautiful sound. I can't tell you how impressed (and relieved) I was. I would highly recommend this clarinet. You can't beat the price nor the quality.

Suzuki Deluxe TR-SC Trumpet Outfit

Obviously this is a beginner horn. It is a nice horn with decent slotting. The standard 7c mouthpiece is strong silver plated, and works great, but it does need extreme scrubbing every day after play. Normally I'll just go rinse them, but this one needs a scrub. There are 2 braces on main lead, which is just that much more attention to detail. Some issues that I have with the horn, is that it is only free-blowing to an extent. After a certain point, it will lock on you. I do not know if this is because of the 7c mouthpiece that came with it or not, but ffff is not as easily done with this horn, as another. Suzuki FL-SC Flute

As a band teacher and technician I can say without reservation that this flute was not ready to be sold.
The case and the box and the literature are the best money can buy but the flute will
make it impossible for a young student (any student)
to progress.
In short- It does not work- The right hand keys are set incorrectly and the instrument leaks. It would require an hour for a technician to adjust it correctly.

More time must be invested into quality control-
AS difficult as it is for an experienced player to use this instrument, it would be impossibke for a student to learn on it.

Suzuki SDK-3P 3-Piece Junior Drum Set

Suzuki Q-Chord with A.C. Adaptor

I find the Q-Chord to be a fun and entertaining instrument for anyone who can't play any other instrument. As the box says, 0 to Musician in 9 seconds. I have not had to time to play from anything other than the music cartridges, so I cannot speak for playing the Q-Chord any other way. I have never plugged it into an amp or listened to it through headphones. Playing from the built-in speaker it sounds a bit much like muzak/elevator music. The Country Cartidge sounds authentic and the Strangers in the Night cartridge is fitting for this type of sound. While listeners know the songs and enjoy the Lennon and McCartney cartridge, the sound does not come out anything like The Beatles or any other 'rock' sound. All of that being said, if you don't ...
