Suzuki CL-SC Clarinet

I was extremely impressed with this clarinet. I ordered it for my 5th grader who had never picked up a musical instrument before. I had to help my son put it together the first time as it was a little tight, but by the time he went to his first lesson he was able to assemble it by himself. The very first time he tried to play it, he managed to make a beautiful sound. I can't tell you how impressed (and relieved) I was. I would highly recommend this clarinet. You can't beat the price nor the quality.

Suzuki Deluxe TR-SC Trumpet Outfit

Obviously this is a beginner horn. It is a nice horn with decent slotting. The standard 7c mouthpiece is strong silver plated, and works great, but it does need extreme scrubbing every day after play. Normally I'll just go rinse them, but this one needs a scrub. There are 2 braces on main lead, which is just that much more attention to detail. Some issues that I have with the horn, is that it is only free-blowing to an extent. After a certain point, it will lock on you. I do not know if this is because of the 7c mouthpiece that came with it or not, but ffff is not as easily done with this horn, as another. As a band teacher and technician I can say without reservation that this flute was not ready to be sold.
The case and the box and the literature are the best money can buy but the flute will
make it impossible for a young student (any student)
to progress.
In short- It does not work- The right hand keys are set incorrectly and the instrument leaks. It would require an hour for a technician to adjust it correctly.

More time must be invested into quality control-
AS difficult as it is for an experienced player to use this instrument, it would be impossibke for a student to learn on it.

Suzuki Deluxe AS-SC Alto Saxophone Outfit

Great packaging- Impressive case- Impressive looking-
but substandard quality. It simply does not play in tune. Suzkuki needs to works on the intonation of this model. I feel like my $ is used for Fluff instead of
quality control and design.
Bottom Line- stay away

Suzuki VI-SC Violin

I bought this violin a few months ago and didn't start the lesson right then.
Recently, my new teacher told me that this violin had 'loud' sound in general and didn't hold the sound that well. On top of that, the bow is fiberglass hair and came in all tangled. Useless! Now I have to go buy a new bow. This violin doesn't come with shoulder rest so I have to buy one and also have to replace the strings(my teacher recommended). The case is nice but that's about it. Now I am expecting to spend over $100. I should have bought some other cheaper student violin and saved money.
I am not happy with this product. I would return it if I could but it's too late now.
