Yamaha YRN-302B Sopranino Recorder

As has been pointed out by the other reviewers, this is just short of a professional instrument. No, Bernard Krainis would not play this instrument, but then, Julian Bream would not play a Fender guitar, either. For the price and what it is, this is a very nice little instrument, though. It is superior to the somewhat cheaper versions of Yamaha plastic sopranino recorder, the YRN-22B, in that this has a somewhat mellower sound. Let's face it, though, sopranino recorder is somewhat shrill, even if it's a $400 version. For the money, you can't beat this little instrument. If you want a professional version, then spend the money on a cherry wood sopranino or buy one in a $500 set. For what is it, this is a sweet instrument.

Yamaha F-310 Steel String Acoustic Folk Guitar, Semi Jumbo

The Yamaha F-310 Acoustic Guitar was my very first guitar, and I grew to love it. I played it for 6 years, and it never failed. Since then I have upgraded to a Gibson Songwriter Cutaway (which plays like a dream), and I gave away my trustworthy Yamaha to a lucky person. I sometimes wish I still had my old F-310. I beat it up pretty bad, but the tone and playability never diminished. Don't let the price fool you...this yamaha is everything you could want in a beginner/intermediate guitar. With the right set of fresh strings, this guitar sounds comparable to higher-end guitars in the upper hundreds. Buy this Yamaha, and it'll be one purchase you don't regret.

Yamaha YT-240 String Instrument Tuner

I was just beginning violin lessons when i bought this to help me tune between lessons. I knew nothing about using one, but the directions were simple, and it was easy and clear to use. Well worth the money spent!! I'd definitely recommend it.

Yamaha Flute Swab

I love these swabs for cleaning the inside of flutes and recorders! They do the job great and it is so easy. If you have never tried a swab for cleaning a woodwind instrument, you should consider doing so. The swabs are a most convenient way of cleaning your instrument.

Recorder Pack: Yamaha Ivory Soprano Recorder with Do It! Play Recorder! Book & CD

OK, I have to admit this is an excellent supplement to my own book, "The Recorder From Zero, vol. I" especially for the high quality CD which includes acoustic (i.e. non-synthsized) music perfomance and accompaniments for most of the pieces in the book in many different styles. Throw in the recorder and this is really an incredible deal. It's marketed towards children but any adult would also have fun using these materials. I plan to use this book in addition to my own for teaching.

Yamaha P85 Digital Piano

When a master controller keyboard started to go flaky on me, I started looking for a replacement, and since I didn't REALLY need anything but a basic piano at this point (already having other keyboards that can serve this purpose), the focus was going to be on having 88 weighted keys, but being lightweight and portable. In the start of the 90s, stage pianos that remotely sounded like the real thing were becoming affordable, though hideously bulky and heavy. Let's just say they wouldn't fit in my car so easily, which leaves you reliant on the rest of the band for your transportation.
