THe mini piano is so very cute and looks well crafted as well. My daughter LOVES it. Now, the problem I had with it is that the bench for my baby girl to sit on is too narrow so she topples over easily. That, and I have to rest the piano against a wall because it only has three legs, so if she leans on it at a certain angle, it'll topple over with her. Lastly, the keys seem to stick unless you tap the keys hard, which I guess for kids won't matter, but I've played a real piano and this isn't exactly like that. Yet, I think these problems are extremely small compared to the joy its given my daughter. Oh! and keep in mind that my daughter is only 9 1/2 months old. I purchased this on the presumption that it had "1 finger chord" as stated in the sellers description...I feel that the item has been misrepresented, as there doesn't seem to be any such function.

Yamaha NP30 Portable Grand Digital Piano

It turns out that the Yamaha NP30 is also.... a radio! After playing a couple of times, it started playing AM radio. I don't know how exactly the keyboard resonates with AM frequencies but it does and it sounds pitiful! Worse yet, the keys now sound as if they get transmitted from the station I'm "listening" to, with a lot of white noise. Very bizarre and resetting the power did not fix it, so it's now a permanent problem....

Casio AP45 Digital Piano (88 Keys with Weighted Action)

I was looking for a dependable, relatively inexpensive alternative to a piano with a MIDI interface and the AP45 provides exactly what I was looking for. The weighted keys feel just like those on a stand-up piano, the sound is good, and it looks as much like a real piano as one could reasonably ask for. (While it's not the centerpiece of our living room like a baby grand would be, it is not at all an eyesore the way a Privia PX-110 on a standard stand would be. Overall, I'm happy with the appearance, especially when the cover is pulled over the keys.)

I should note that I don't use any of the advanced functionality. My family uses some of the preset sounds to mix it up, but for us the AP45 is basically a piano substitute that we can occasionally ... Read More:

I got the PX800 this summer and it is absolutely perfect for me! I am a music major with an emphasis in piano and I needed something small enough to practice on that would fit in my apartment and that felt and sounded as close to a real piano as I could possibly get. After much searching online and comparing many different models and brands, I finally found the PX800 and ordered it. The shipping only took a couple of weeks, and the set up wasn't too hard. (It is a good idea to have two people put it together.)

bought PIANO MADE EASY for my kids and they LOVE it!!! teaches how to REALLY play the piano. very user friendly and easy for kids to set up and play themselves. (don't know why that other reivewer complained about the game not being midi, the instructions say that its not midi). 5 stars.
