We bought this guitar for my six-year old daughter on her birthday this summer. It's a mini version of an adult electric guitar. Its a perfect size for her to handle and she loves it!
Purchased Boomwhackers to excite and further involve our children in Sunday/Wednesday services. They are simple, easy to use, and provide a new dimension to teaching and learning music.
I have a student with one of these models. His mother had bought him this instead of getting a rental, which would have been $500 or more a year.
His instrument has nice projection and is very free blowing. Intonation is not perfect, but it is reasonable. It's really quite good for an off brand, many of which are out and out junk. He'll need a better one come high school but, for now, this one will do.
I didn't expect to come to a software so confusing, so I haven't been able to upload sounds on to the machine. Now, that I have already opened the software, I may have to sell this and drop the price, because it says that it can be installed onto only one machine. It does look nice and feel nice and it was a good price when I purchased it, so I just hope that someone will buy it and can make it work.
The keyboard died after 1 year of very very VERY light use. It is my second M-Audio keyboard that let me down. I do not buy keyboards from m-audio anymore. If one needs disposable keyboard, there are cheaper alternatives.
The zaphoon has been a great discovery for me as a music educationalist. I love finding new instruments and new and easier ways to make music, and access it both financially and in the technique. For under $100NZ I can have in my hand an instrument that sounds and plays like a soprano saxophone!! I have now bought two; one for me and one to lend to people, currently to a 13-yr-old boy at my church who plays alto sax. It is strong and so easy to carry around. Adolph Sax, would approve, I think :)
For a first ocarina I think this was a very good choice on my part. It may not sound the best but it doesn't sound too horrible compared to some others I've heard.
The range is about and octave +6 (Mine specifically is B to E, I'm not sure if it varies between ocarinas). It's a simple instrument to pick up and play, and gives a rather pleasant sound. Also, it's plastic, so it's extremely durable.
The price was very reasonable, and came a day earlier than the shipping ETA (14th, estimated 15th-18th).
The only problem is the instructions are written in Japanese, but they are simple and easy to understand. There are bound to be more than enough tutorials on the internet for those who want more information.

I bought this as my first harmonica. I am by no means a harmonica expert, so I read a plethora of reviews and background info on the instruments before buying this one. I bought it because I heard it would be easy to learn on, I knew Hohner has the best reputation (only rivaled by oskar lee) and I wanted a harmonica with a wooden body.
So far I am beyond pleased and even to my untrained ear the sound is rich.
This contents of this review are based on that fact that this keyboard costs under $200. Just knowing that it costs under $200 should tell you right off the bat this is not for a professional musician, nor will it have professional quality and tone.
However, if you are like me and just beginning or even perhaps an intermediate musician looking for a practice keyboard, this is probably the keyboard you want to buy.
I tried out many many keyboard in the $200 price range and this is the ONLY one I would buy. If it were not for this keyboard, I would have spent over $500 on a Yamaha.
What I like about this is the keyboard has a semi-weighted feel to the keys and the piano tones are very lush and nice. The organ tones as well are awesome.
