Chances are your kid will drop this guitar phase faster than he/she will drop a hot potato, so this is the instrument for you. For a bit more than 2 months rental, you can have a quite serviceable guitar that actually plays! Your kid can do it all but, as all holds true, will not...afterall they can master Guitar Hero faster (where they don't have to muster much brain power to push color coded buttons). It is sad, because this 3/4 size does make a good sound; a young player can learn the fingerings and really take pride in the sound. Worth the money...even if it goes off in the yard sale in 4 months.

Product was accurately described. Good starter instrument. It's definitely an instrument that you will grow out of if you really love playing, but it's a good instrument at a good price if you are just looking to test it out.

This is viola is great!!!! It has nice features a beautiful look. Mine came in a dark brown color. The only problem is that in the beginning it goes out of tune a lot. but great viola

I purchased this for my six year-old's birthday because her father and I play guitar and she always wants to be a part of the music practice. She is learning to strum in time and be dedicated to practicing an instrument. We all love playing this. Fabulous quality, take some time to tune. Buy the hard case for it and plenty of picks.

OK, everybody, I'm a male. I'm older than 16. I play blues and heavy rock. I've played in front of thousands of people. I already own a wonderful, expensive Standard Stratocaster that I am very happy with. I didn't need another guitar---and I really didn't have the money to buy another one, either. Yet, even with all that..... I recently bought this Hello Kitty Stratocaster!

Why, you may ask? Well, lemme tell ya...

I was in a guitar shop in Northampton, MA (don't ask why I was in Northampton, MA of all places!) My daughter got this guitar for Christmas. She loves the design and how it fits her hand. The sound is really good, too! She takes it everywhere she goes and shows it off. Many people have told us they are really surprised that a Hello Kitty guitar is not a toy, but a real guitar.

We highly recommend this guitar. It plays well, sounds great, and is well-made. We do also recommend shopping around because at other sites you can find it for a lot cheaper than on Amazon.

The guitar was for my niece's 7th birthday...she is petite, so it's perfect in size. She wants to learn guitar and has scheduled lessons. I play guitar myself, and it tuned well. I think it's a wonderful starter instrument for a small child just getting started. She loves pink and fairies too, so that makes it more exciting. My only complaint would be that there was small defect on the front of the guitar and also, was disappointed to get a black carrying bag instead of a pink one as the description mentions.
