I work for a security company, and I often find myself in the middle of nowhere with nothing to look at and nobody to talk to. This makes falling asleep a serious risk, as in a risk to my employment and potentially a risk to the people and property I'm protecting. How do I avoid this problem? Playing my harmonica.

I bought this harmonica because my Grandfather played in a band, and I wanted to try to teach myself. It was en excellent choice, as it has a good sound, and was not expensive at all.

Hohner Mini Harmonica Necklace

I purchased one of these Harmonica's for my 3 y.o. daughter at a local fair. It was the first thing that I bought when we got there and my daughter played it the entire time. I was very happy that the sound that comes out is pleasant. When we left 5 hours later, she was still playing it. She likes to wear it around her neck to this day.

I purchased one of these Harmonica's for my 3 y.o. daughter at a local fair. It was the first thing that I bought when we got there and my daughter played it the entire time. I was very happy that the sound that comes out is pleasant. When we left 5 hours later, she was still playing it. She likes to wear it around her neck to this day.

Suzuki Q-Chord with A.C. Adaptor

I find the Q-Chord to be a fun and entertaining instrument for anyone who can't play any other instrument. As the box says, 0 to Musician in 9 seconds. I have not had to time to play from anything other than the music cartridges, so I cannot speak for playing the Q-Chord any other way. I have never plugged it into an amp or listened to it through headphones. Playing from the built-in speaker it sounds a bit much like muzak/elevator music. The Country Cartidge sounds authentic and the Strangers in the Night cartridge is fitting for this type of sound. While listeners know the songs and enjoy the Lennon and McCartney cartridge, the sound does not come out anything like The Beatles or any other 'rock' sound. All of that being said, if you ... I will admit that I originally got a set of these bagpipes for the expressed purpose of bugging my fellow dorm mates. For this purpose, this item worked superbly. However, after my sophomoric antics, I was still stuck with a set of bagpipes. It is a difficult instrument to play, and if you're interested in learning how to play, purchase a practice chanter. This set works okay as an intermediary between the chanter and the full set. The sound quality is pretty low, but it's a durable instrument. Also, it works well as a decorative piece. Otherwise, I would call this instrument a necessity for any returning upperclassmen going into a dorm scenario.
