My students love these little shakers. They are excellent for teaching rhythm and for teaching togetherness--especially in non-intimidating ways. Buy a bunch of these and keep them in your rainy day kit.

Hohner HP Harmonica Pouch

I bought this case because I wanted to be able to put the harmonica in my pocket and not have it get banged up on my car keys or cell phone. The standard plastic cases that come with harmonicas are too fat and hard to be comfortable in a pocket.

This is a well made case with a good zipper and padding, but it is about 50% too long for a Horner Special 20 or similar 10 hole diatonic harmonica. It is obviously made with "one size fits all" in mind. As such, it is bulkier than I wanted, but still usable.

Grossman Music Slide Whistle

Works great! At first I experienced a bit of stickiness on the slide at it's highest pitch, but after a few days that went away. Perhaps it was just that I figured out how to slide it right. Anyway, I recommend this slide whistle highly :-)

This is the third type I have purchased so far, the other two being the Hohner Special 20's and Lee Oskar Major Diatonic. As far as quality, warmth, looks, and appeal, this harmonica beats them all hands down in every category! My favorite thing about this harmonica is the classic wooden comb, giving it a much more rich, folky, Bob Dylan-esque tone (which is what I was going for). I find bending and overblowing much easier on this harmonica as well although that is not what I bought this harmonica for.

New Deluxe Zelda Ocarina Flute "Sweet Potato" - Blue

I got this because I knew my boyfriend wanted an ocarina. The only problem with it is that its very hard to find music for. If I had to do it over again I'd buy the more expensive version of this that came with a music book.
The product works, sounds good and is easy to make noise but hard to make a song.

Hohner 542/20 Golden Melody Harmonica, Key of C

The golden melody is a nice harp though I prefer the delta frost by bushman it has a better sound and only cost about five dollars more.

Waltons Irish D Tin Whistle Brass D Tin Whistle

I know you need practice to play the high notes on the tin whistle--still, they are a little squeaky on this one. I have another D whistle I bought at a faire 10 years ago and it seems to work much better- so maybe you just need to get to know your own personal whistle, spend some time with it and find out how much air flow it likes before it starts yelling at you. Overall it's nice and I don't mind that the finish comes off- I think it looks better that way and it doesn't effect the sound at all.
