This phone is decent for the money, but I expected more. You have to separately store numbers in the address book in both handsets. The voice clarity sometimes fades in and out a little, and you cannot set your own ring tone. Otherwise it seems to be a good phone.

We bought these to replace a 3-4 year old VTech dual set that had dead spots in our house and to add a unit. The Panasonic with Dect 6.0 solved the dead zone issue and seems to have great range inside and outside. In the deal, we also got: (1) better sound quality, (2) a lighter phone, (3) bigger buttons, (4) an decent sounding speaker phone, (5) erasing missed calls on one unit does it on all three, (6) longer battery life. Only negatives going thru more menus to erase (but that is more than offset by #5) and we didn't like the wall mount. Since we have voicemail I haven't used the answering machine, but am considering going to that for ease of use and ability to hear message being left and interrupt if desired. Tradeoffs- no more interference from other wireless electronics in house/neighborhood, but phone is hard to hold with your shoulder. Also ordered headset which is very uncomfortable. Would not recommend, especially if you have other things to do while talking on the phone - either professionally (can not type at the same time) or domestically (difficult to clean up kitchen, make dinner, fold laundry). Very disappointed-wish I could return (ran out of time).

I've had a had my Uniden TRU8866 for a few years but stopped using it since people complained about not being able to hear with a headphone. Decided to take the risk on these extension handsets to see if that would resolve the issue. These sound much better and I'm happy to be able to have only one handset for both lines in each room now. Message indicator works with Telco voice mail too. (Why is that such a hard feature to find these days?)

Quite pleased in general with features, answering machine operation, tone quality, etc. Two-line capability is quite useful. Range is better than that of most other cordless phones I've had, but only about half the distance my previous (about 5-year-old) GigaRange phone had. Operation is good anywhere in the house, gets spotty in the garage and more remote parts of the yard. Old phone was quite a bit larger and heavier, had a 3" protruding blade antenna. This handset is considerably smaller and lighter, with an internal antenna--much easier to carry around in a pocket. All in all, a very good phone system with good but not exceptional range.

The Panasonic Dect 6.0, 3 handheld system works as advertised. Sound is fine with no iterference. The range is great, much better than expected from reading other reviews. The intercom is especially handy and easy to use. I like the voice mail indicators. If you don't need an answering machine, this is the way to go. I particularly like the fact that the rechargeable batteries are AAA, and easily available. Battery life is about one week before a recharge. I would definitely purchase it again.

The item was misleading on the web site.I thought it was a complete unit, but when received found out it was an auxiliary until and I required a mother base.I sent the unit back sent bought the right unit locally.

The original phone, which I use exclusively in my home office, came with 2 handsets. Sometimes I am on the phone all day, so the 2nd handset comes in handy if I blow thru a battery.

I ordered this 3rd handset as an add-on to use downstairs. The 2-line feature allows me to also answer my home phone as well as my business phone. Upon arrival, I plugged the new handset and programmed to locate the base unit (one-button). This took all of 30 seconds. Fast, easy, powerful signal and great clarity.

Overall, a pretty good product. The only thing I disliked was the lack of a speakerphone on the answering mcahine base. It is on each phone, but otherwise, it works great. Good range on the phones, and good charge time.
