**update** The 12-second page-turn problem appears to be isolated to a particular (badly-formatted?) ebook. With other ebooks , page-turns are around a second. definitely no problem for me. (whew!)

I bought this as a discontinued product because I wanted an ebook reader but didn't want to pay that much. I don't want to pay for books either so I get public domain books from various sources and convert them with Calibre software (a must have!)

If you want to buy online books the Kindle might be a better thing (Kindle book prices seem to be the best) the newer prs-505 supports epub books which some libraries support (the 500 does not).

When I slipped the Kindle into this case I was pleased with the look and feel of it. But, I rapidly discovered two problems - one minor and the other fatal.

1. Minor - the adjustable stand was not all that adjustable and would slide on smooth surfaces (a desk for example).
2. Fatal - no matter how many times I adjusted the fit the case would tightly press on the previous page key ( and press and press)until I was was back to the cover page.

I will continue to search for a cover that fits well without the problems of this one. It needs a serious redesign.

When I travel, either on a train or a plane, i find there is limited amount of light to read a book. No matter how or where you sit in your seat, there is no light available or limited amounts. I bought this devise to get more light on a recent train trip. well IT worked better than i thought.

After adjusting the light around my neck (which in my opinion is the largest setback to this being a 5 star product), there was enough light for me to read the novel on a train trip.

For those of you who want a light when you travel, i say get this and enjoy your trip

I bought this to read current books. It is well built and easy to use - BUT - if you want to read current Authors, it's very difficult to find these books in .txt or the old .pdf format that isn't the new Adobe Digital Ebook!!! Adobe Digital Ebook won't work with the Jetbook.
I also find the screen darker than shown in the picture!! It's more brown.
I ended up getting the Sony PRS 505 and now am very happy!!
For strictly reading Best Sellers and New Released books - this doesn't make it!!!
If you want to read classics (Moby Dick, Huckleberry Finn, etc.) than this will work!!
I suggest before you buy any ebook reader, check out the websites and see what books are offered in the formats for each reader!!!

Very dissappointed with product. Very difficult to setup an costly to setup. More cost efficient to purchase more expensive book readers after having to purchase all the additional items (i.e. MMC card (which is hard to find) and adapter. Also found books for this reader cost more money than the other readers.
