First the good points of the IP4600; The photo print quality is excellent. The setup is easy. I am pleased with the operation of the printer. On the down-side; The IP4600 DOES NOT print CDs/DVDs even though several retailers (including Amazon) states that it does. Canon Tech Support seemed very surprised that the feature was given in their specifications. I have a problem with some incompatability between the Canon On-Screen Manual software and software installed on my computer. The manual would open once after a boot then fail on subsequent tries. Tech Support has no software fix, but are mailing a hard copy. ON the first print job after power-on the printer goes through several seconds of clicks and hums before it will feed paper and ... Seems to work well for both my office pc and laptop. I loved it. Yet, yesterday it went off and couldn't work on the office.
I took it back home and it worked. Not sure, maybe computer glitch but this is a great product

I bought this item and had brother come and fix it. After 6 months of use it broke down more than it worked.
amazon.com was great. they picked up the printer and refunded the money.
I would always shop with amazon.com
brother does not do a good job with customer service

Finding printer ink in my small town is impossible. Instead of driving an hour or so, I decided to find a place to order online. Prices on Amazon are fairly comparable to other sites, but I've had good success with ordering from Amazon in the past and I felt more comfortable ordering my ink from them. Free shipping sealed the deal. I didn't need them overnight, so I could take advantage of the free ground shipping...and they even arrived a bit earlier than the estimated date of arrival given when I ordered. I was able to track the shipping so I knew to look for them early.

The colors aren't as vibrant as I hoped they would be but I am not disappointed. My DVDs look very professional and that was my goal! I had to run a batch of 25 at one time--so I took the opportunity to play around with the print quality settings, and frankly didn't see enough difference between best quality and normal to use the extra ink.

HP Q6002A Color Laserjet Printer Toner Cartridge (Yellow)

I had purchased the off-brand replacement cartridges trying to save some money. (They cost about 2/3 as much as the HP ones.) After a little while all of my prints started coming out with streaks. Installing HP cartridges immediately solved the problems. I tried to save a little money and spent a lot more.
