My old mower was worn out. Even the tires were bald! So I started looking for a new one and thought, "Why not an electric?" I searched them out on the 'net and saw that this Black and Decker was highly rated and well-reviewed plus Amazon's price was well below anyone else's, so I ordered it and don't regret it one bit. It's quiet, light (I can push it with one hand) and there's no fighting it to get it started, either. It cuts through my heavy bermuda grass with ease and the catcher on the back is more than big enough. I also like the idea that I'm doing something good for the environment and not throwing out a lot of exhaust, dust and noise!

I am extremely happy with this lawn mower. The wide width makes cutting the grass faster. Surprisingly I am still able to get close to my many plants and trees. 1) It is also easy to push - it's really not your grandfather's mower, 2) the heighth adjustment makes it more versatile, 3) No gasoline to buy and no fumes to inhale, 4) no winterizing is needed, 5) environment-friendly, 6) the light weight makes me able to carry it into the basement for winter storage, and last but not least, my lawn looks much better cut instead of chewed.

This is a great product. The sharpening instructions where very easy to understand, and after I figured out that the hand crank could be replaced with a 1/2 inch chuck electric drill, I was able to sharpen my used, garage sale mower in about 5 minutes.

Handle bolts together, so it flexes more than it should. Presumably the handle is manufactured of multiple pieces so it can be shipped from China in a small box.

It cuts well (short grass only). For long grass and/or weeds I gas-up my power mowers.

My family and I moved into a new home and I wanted to get away from a gas lawn mower. I did some research and this mower's reviews were all good. So I ordered one. I have not been disappointed at all. I use it to mow about an acre of land (we have a shed with electricity in the middle of of the back). When we first moved in I ignored the already long grass in the front for about 2 weeks and it worked its way up to between 6"-8" inches. I started up the mower and zoomed right over it. The next week I did half of the back yard and discovered that it had a lot of hidden rocks in it. It dinged up the blade some but I hadn't noticed at that point. I wanted to collect some of my clippings from the reel mower to use as mulch. I had allowed the grass to sit on the lawn. I had been cutting it twice to eliminate missed spots and break down some bigger clippings. This bag doesn't catch everything. You also need to pull back the load and reposition the clippings from the predominate left side every so often. I didn't expect much from this attachment, but it serves my purpose to gather a fair amount of clippings.

Pros:
Low maintenance (no oil or spark plugs to change)
Easy to start up, great if you need frequent breaks
Lightweight and quiet
No stinky fumes

Cons:
Gets bogged down easily in taller/damp grass
Electric cord can get in the way

I've used this mower for about 3 months now. When we had a lot of rain and heavy flooding it was very difficult to get my lawn mowed. Had to put it on the tallest setting and use multiple passes to slog through. Overall though, I love this mower. Once you get a pattern set with your electric cord (hint, start close to the house/outlet and move outward) it's pretty easy to manage - no more difficult to start/stop/push than a vacuum cleaner. I wanted a cordless electric, but it seems that the batteries just aren't reliable enough. I used a gas Toro mulcher for many years and enjoyed its maneuverability, but I wanted to get away from the oil and gas and starting hassles. So, the MM675 was a compromise, and, after using it for two months, I am very happy with it.I mulch every six days at the 2 inch height and used it to mulch the leaves (while they were dry and crispy and not all at once) from a good-size maple tree. It did fine. The flip handle is very useful and helps to keep the cord out of danger. Finally, it is light and easy to push, even one-handed.

This mower is Beefy, it's got some good weight to it, not flimsly at all. A concern of mine when I ordered was that it would turn out to be a cheap plastic, this thing is all steel baby. Watch out for those blades, they will tear your arm off. Since I started using it my lawn has been growing at a phenomenal rate, it's basically overgrown in a weeks time. The mower makes no noise so I can cut the grass as early as I want. After the first mow it was so awesome I wanted to keep going and mow my neighbors lawn, but you don't mow another mans lawn!! It is still relatively new and sharp so I cannot comment on blades dulling or resharpening. Cleaning the mower of shredded grass is easier and safer with a leaf blower. Assembly was easy.
