My husband loves his trimmer. We have lots of trees in our yard and this makes it much easier to trim very high branches with not a lot of effort. It was money well spent.

I'm not sure why the other reviewers have glowing things to say about this saw. The frame is rigid as mentioned. There is NO tensioning mechanism for the blade. The blade tangs are made of what looks like aluminum and are barely adequate to hold the blade in place. The blade itself cuts VERY poorly, so poorly I was wondering if I got a manufacturing defect. If you have a few extra hours to kill, then by all means use this saw to cut a branch or two! The whole point of a bow saw is portability and quick sawing action. This one fails utterly.

I purchased this saw in June of 2008. It was manufactured in China.

This tool is really usefull around the house especially when you have alot of trees. Like the item says its 14ft and its very strong. If you are looking for one of these instead of a ladder this one is great! I have it myself and it does exactly what it is sappose to.

Product arrived intact and on time. Easily assembled, no missing parts. Pruner cuts easily, saw is very sharp. Cuts branches easily, and has plenty of reach. I think that if the people that have had problems with this product would use the product for what it is designed for, and not try to make it into a manual chain saw, they also would be pleased. It is not for heavy duty cutting of large branches, or lopping large branches. It is for light to medium pruning of medium sized limbs. For that job it is a good buy and a high quality tool.

This saw makes short work of trimming limbs. Inch thick oak and ash is cut with about 6 strokes. It is very sharp and is a quality product in every way. The first time I used it, I was cutting firewood with a chain saw, splitting some foot thick pieces and stacking the wood. I used the Silky to cut some branches and stubs off the firewood before stacking, rather than fire up the chain saw. I think the curved blade helped cut faster.

I didn't use the scabbard at first, just putting the saw back in it and leaving it where I was at the time. That lasted until I wanted to use it and had to remember where I left it. Product easy to use, lightweight and efficient in the pruning of branches from 6 inch and smaller. Would recommend to the weekend gardener or any one having some serious tree work to be performed.

This one functions well, well made. But it is too heavy for an average person to handle, especially at full extension. I don't use the saw after all. The cable may tangle with your trees braches during the operation.
