Droll Yankees YF Flipper Bird Feeder

This design has no tray to stop seeds from falling to the ground. I have watched small birds knock 5 sunflower seeds to the ground, eat one, knock 5 to the ground, eat one, etc. The squirrels are getting more seeds now from the ground than from our old feeder that they would occasionally jump to.
I have twice seen the feeder swinging wildly no doubt from a squirrel, but have never actually seen a squirrel on it, so don't expect any entertainment like shown on the video.

We've owned this feeder for 8 years. It hangs from a pole off our deck where we can see if from our kitchen table. The kids love watching the cardinals, robins, tit mouse, chickadees, and the occasional woodpecker that come in to feed. I am impressed at how long the feeder has held up without any damage beyond expected wear and weathering. It even fell from a height of 10 feet to the dirt ground when a pesky squirrel dislodged the squirrel cage one day. The feeder still works. We refill it about every other week to keep the songbirds fed. It's relatively easy to fill but we bought a large, plastic funnel to make it easier to pour bird feed into it. I would buy another if this one ever breaks.

Droll Yankees YCPW180 Whipper Bird Feeder, Dark Blue

I bought this feeder because the individual perches allow several birds to feed at one time. No cumulative weights. It took two - three weeks for the birds to adjust to it. The cardinals do not seem to like it that much but they will feed from it. The springs in the feeding arms make a tapping noise when the cardinals fly off. This does not happen with the smaller birds. It is fun to watch squirrels, dove, and blue jays drop off the perches when they release. The large tube is great for being away for a day or two.

I agree with all that has been written. These feeders are the best for so many reasons. Metal perches are great. Feeder holes are small enough that the Nyger seed is not wasted, yet large enough to attrach finches. We keep four active feeders going during this time of the year and they are full most of the time.

This feeder is truly red squirrel-proof! Most squirrel-proof feeders can keep the grey squirrels from the bird seed, but the red squirrels are the true enemy. This is the first feeder I have owned that can keep the red squirrels away from the seed. I have had it since mid-June, it's now mid-August. The red squirrels try very hard to hang onto the feeder and/or the perches, but they can't do it. They even tried to chew through the top lid but all they did was scratch the coating. On top of this, the birds love it. Grosbeaks, cardinals, finches (gold and purple), titmice, etc, etc, love to sit and eat from it. I would recommend this feeder to anyone with red squirrel problems. Droll Yankees TH3 16-Inch Polished Pewter Bird Feeder for Nyjer (Thistle) Seed

Feeder was as expected. It can mount onto a pole, but I hung it on a hook.
Unless you get a dish to mount at the bottom, you will loose a lot of thistle seed. I took a small Frisbie, drilled drain holes in it and mounted it to the bottom rather than get a dish from Amazon for $8 and another $9 shipping.

These brushes work great for getting hummingbird feeders clean. I was surprised to find a free PLB included in the Droll Yankees feeder I bought as it was not listed in the description.

Droll Yankees OWF Observer Window Bird Feeder

It is nice that it sticks to the window, but it has been up for 3 weeks and we have yet to see a bird land on it.

Droll Yankees WH2 Window Mount Hummer Feeder with Nectar Guard

I've used this feeder for two seasons, and it's still working fine. The hummingbirds like it a lot--see my photo above of a hummingbird, butterfly and wasp sharing it. Since it only holds 6 ounces, I have to refill it every day or two. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the price: I only have one of this model, but I have four Opus model 455 window feeders, since they hold more nectar and cost about half as much. See my review of that feeder (Opus 455-3 GardenJewels 14-Ounce Glass Window Mounted Hummingbird Feeder) for tips on mounting it so it won't fall down.

Om-T Omni Seed Tray Feeder 6

The seed tray is easily installed and a necessity for your tube birdfeeder. It catches the seeds that drop out of the feeder and attracts even more birds to join in on the feast. It's a great size and very durable.
