I bought this feeder because the individual perches allow several birds to feed at one time. No cumulative weights. It took two - three weeks for the birds to adjust to it. The cardinals do not seem to like it that much but they will feed from it. The springs in the feeding arms make a tapping noise when the cardinals fly off. This does not happen with the smaller birds. It is fun to watch squirrels, dove, and blue jays drop off the perches when they release. The large tube is great for being away for a day or two.

I really like the looks of the bird bath. I wanted some kind of feature in one of my flower beds. This fit the bill. It wasn't "heavy" looking and was very easy to assemble and put in place. The price was right also.

I agree with all that has been written. These feeders are the best for so many reasons. Metal perches are great. Feeder holes are small enough that the Nyger seed is not wasted, yet large enough to attrach finches. We keep four active feeders going during this time of the year and they are full most of the time.

I'm very pleased with this squirrel feeder. I fill mine with p-nuts. It's fun to watch the squirrels trying to figure out how to get the nuts out of the box. Some squirrels are quicker than others, but eventually they all figure it out. I will buy more of these feeders in the future.

This feeder is used only when we know the weather will keep us from going outside and filling other feeders. When it's cold - the latches freeze. Squirrels love it! Only bigger seeds can be used in it (sunflower, safflower, etc:)and when it isn't completely full, it tends to collapse and the rest of the seed spills. Fortunately, it is easy to store. I would not buy this feeder again.

Great product. I had to add a wood strip to the back to mount it - the mounting option it comes with (a screw) isn't practicle. Still a nice looking product. Very happy with it.

This feeder is truly red squirrel-proof! Most squirrel-proof feeders can keep the grey squirrels from the bird seed, but the red squirrels are the true enemy. This is the first feeder I have owned that can keep the red squirrels away from the seed. I have had it since mid-June, it's now mid-August. The red squirrels try very hard to hang onto the feeder and/or the perches, but they can't do it. They even tried to chew through the top lid but all they did was scratch the coating. On top of this, the birds love it. Grosbeaks, cardinals, finches (gold and purple), titmice, etc, etc, love to sit and eat from it. I would recommend this feeder to anyone with red squirrel problems. I bought two of these units to use around the house, as we enjoy watching the hummingbirds each year. Within 3 weeks of use, one of the units is beginning to rust around the bottom part where the "flowers" where they feed. I would think it would be an easy thing to seal or cost these somehow after manufacturing to prevent this. I know these are brushed "metal" but come now, they shouldn't rust in three weeks.

I have several feeders and this one is more attractive than the others. The birds love it and it looks nice hanging with the others from my patio roof. It does not leak and is easy to fill.

Homestead 3201S Super Stop A Squirrel Wild Bird Feeder

I've had mine for nearly a decade and though the paint is peeling, it still is stellar in performance. I use it as a hanging feeder, using long hanging wires so the squirrels cannot access it at all from the small branches. It is as near squirrel proof a feeder I've ever used. The squirrels don't hang around to harass the birds either, which is great. If the birds drop seeds below, the squirrels seem content to consume from the ground or move on to other feed stations that are less squirrel-proof. As others have said, I like that it is easy to clean and the over-hang of the roof seems to protect the seed from mild rain storms here in Florida.
