I was not impressed with the quality of the connections when assembling. There is no carrying strap. I assume you move it around by the "plastic" handle you use to pump up pressure. There are no rubber seals so you must turn out with gusto ,otherwise it will leak when pressurized. Also after pressurized ,when you're done again it takes a hard twist to remove. The spray nozzle is again plastic and does not have a super fine spray. I am afraid I will snap off the handle.I am not happy and will probably return.
I have always used The Gilmour backsaver sprayer - the high handle makes carrying much easier and makes pumping much easier. It's reasonably priced, and the company has always sent me any part (1 in 5 years) that broke - for free (including shipping!). They couldn't be nicer in the way they back their products. I'm with them now for the duration!
When searching the internet for a spreader you are quickly aware that the Earthway prices are very attractive. However, you will find that you earn a good discount when you ASSEMBLE IT YOURSELF.
There are MANY parts and they were all there in the right quantity. I suggest you lay out all the parts so you can easily see them.
The instructions for assembly on a scale of 1 to 10, are a 5. That's not good.
Go slow and if it doesn't look right, it's probably not... I had to redo the assembly of the tires to the axle. Some of the other framework assembly took some serious picture studying to get it right. Back up and correct mistakes, don't think it will probably be ok like it is.
I have owned this sprayer for about a year now and the unit has clogged up somehow, even though I'm normally pretty careful to clean after each use. The problem is (as stated by another post) going online to read the instructions on how to take apart, check, clean, and replace parts is WAY too complicated. Maintenance should be limited to "unscrew this, check an o-ring washer and maybe replace, and that's it. If this product was sold to only MIT students it may be ok, or if I had an entire afternoon to attempt the tear down and rebuild it I could get it to work, but at the moment it gives me a headache just to look the instructions and try to decipher them.

In the world of sprayers, cheap seems to be the common thread...cheap in price and cheap in quality. The Gilmour Premium Sprayer is about 3 times the usual price, but it is worth the extra expense. The feel of the materials used in the sprayer's construction is better than the usual filmsy plastic models. The sprayer has a comfortable handle. The 3 gallon capacity, while not enough to break your back, means fewer trips to prepare solution. The extra long hose and brass wand/valve illustrate the higher quality features on this model. I have had no leaks from the cap. I think this sprayer will last a long time, and I'm glad to have made the purchase.

A very inexpensive sprayer that seems to be well manufactured. Unfortunately, this is where the story turns sour. My Hudson 1 Gallon "Eliminator" sprayer came COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED with about 10-12 different parts for me to figure out. The assembly instructions are unclear and the illustrations are so poor as to be worthless. After about 45 minutes of assembling, disassembling, checking and re-checking the compression fittings and "O" rings, I was unable to get this sprayer to work quite right. I'll be returning this sprayer today. Don't waste your time with this one.
