I've had my Asus Eee PC 900HA for about week now and I'm using it more than my bigger laptop. It is so convienent to be able to take it with me everywhere. I bought this to replace my Palm, because even though I loved my Palm it just didn't have all the functionality I needed. So far I'm quite happy with this netbook. I thought that the small keyboard would be a downside, but so far it hasn't bothered me much at all. It has taken me some time to get used to the small enter key and the placement of the right shift key, but it has not taken long at all. I'm very happy with my 1000h. I'd been looking for a new laptop, something a little smaller and more portable than my aging Compaq that weights in at about 9 lbs with the battery. After reading way too many reviews for netbooks, it came down to a choice between the Asus 1000h or the MSI Wind. I decided to go with the Asus 1000h with the 160GB hard drive, just because I've never had any problems with Asus motherboards.

First off, this is a slick looking machine. It doesn't really matter to me what my computer looks like, but this is an eye catching device - shiny and svelte. As others have mentioned, however, it is a fingerprint magnet. The 1024x600 screen is sharp and clear, and is very visible even from side angles.

This is an excellent small footprint notebook computer. It is exactly what I expected. I bought this for my wife who has never, ever, used a computer. It is a hit with her.

If you want a large screen this not the notebook for you. If you are a high tipped touch typist you may find the keyboard just slightly cramped. But this is a problem with the footprint not this computer. If these two issues are a problem for you, you don't want any small footprint computer.

My wife is a hunt and peck typist and for her it is perfect.

The screen is 1024 by 600 in its default and highly readable mode. Yhis is a hybrid of 1024 x 768 and 800x 600. You'll find you often have to scroll down if you want to see the lower portion ... Read More:

I recently purchased the Asus Eee Pc 904ha and I couldn't be any more happy with the performance thus far. The Atom processor seems to work wonders with keeping the Netbook at great working condition. I have yet to be annoyed by the laptop over-heating. So far so good. The 1 gig of ram that is standard in the system makes this device run smoothly and allows for you to run many programs at a time with no trouble at all.

Alongside the 1 gig of ram, you get a 160 gig hard drive which is split up into your C and D drive. There is so much space to store whatever you need over the course of use with your netbook and still...if you wish to purchase a USB drive you can because this device comes with three USB 2.0 connection ports.

The best netbook on the market at present. The 10" form factor is small enough to be portable but big enough to comfortably view and type on. I considered the MSI Wind and ASUS 10" netbooks, but the Samsung seemed worth the higher price for the better keyboard layout and better looks and more solid case. The 6 cell battery makes it weigh a little more than I'd like, but getting 6+ hours out of the battery is worth it.

PROS
Great keyboard, Superior build quality, good camera, speakers, battery, screen. Even has VGA Out, 3 USB Ports, and an SD Card Slot (Take that MacBook Air!)

CONS/Quibbles (none significant)
Single mouse button that rocks left and right and is a bit too firm, Trackpad could be a little bigger, Comes with annoying trial McAfee ... Read More:

I just wanted to say that i am a 'desktop homebased Mac person', but really wanted one of these little netbooks to be able to check my email/do misc. Internet things while out & about. I have do have some experience with PC's, & this little machine (Asus 901 Atom processor-Windows XP version) is perfect for taking with you anywhere-i haven't experienced any problems (keep in mind i probably don't use this machine to it's fullest potential, even). It's really nice to have with you away from home. Works perfectly with my Novatel wireless card. Total price delivered for mine was around $411-glad i got it before the increase in price.

Good basic PC for internet, email, and word processing. Battery life not very good, less than 2 hours. Also when not in use the battery, even though fully charged when turned off, loses 80% of the stored power within a week. Best to remove battery when not in use.

Wonderful little machine, exactly what I was looking for, except the terrible Xandros linux OS that comes with it. I thought I'd be able to stick it out and try it for a while, but after 5 minutes I was looking into Ubuntu for the EEE. Unless you're happy with a $500 fisher price toy, plan on installing a different version of linux or any kind of manageable operating system. If you cant do that, then get the 1000h with windows and save yourself the trouble.
Also, do not fool yourself into thinking this is all you need. If you have a bigger screen and keyboard at home, you will use that, and you should. Netbooks are not intended to be your main machine, and should rather function as your travel companion.
