I ordered this for my 82 year old mother who had previously been using a mailstation that quit connecting and for which 7 calls to a customer service group based in India was of no help. The box arrived with this machine in it. I had it out of the box, hooked up and working within 10 minutes, including the time to open the box. I sent up the address book for my mom and within minutes of that, she had sent her first emails from the mailbug. The keyboard is also a very nice one and the visual display is easy to read. The customer service group, who I had to call to activate the account, is in the US and were helpful and very easy to deal with. I bought 2 of these last year for my daughters (ages 11 and 13). They work very well and we have had no problems. I signed up for a texting plan also but have since canceled it due to the fact that my kids now have cell phones and use those for texting. My kids do use these for instant messaging though...not as often as I would like considering that I paid the original price of $150 but they do use them. It's nice that they can take them any where in the house instead of having to be at the computer. The keyboard is good, as well as the backlight, display, and battery life (rechargable). RCA/MSN TV 2 Internet and Media Player

My original Web TV unit finally gave out after 7 years, so I replaced it with MSN TV 2, despite reading more than a few negative reviews here. Biggest consumer mistake I've ever made. Heed the warnings, folks, they are not lying! First my email account didn't exist for several days. Videos WILL NOT PLAY unless you have high speed service, which I don't. In fact, the screen just freezes up and you must unplug the unit and reconnect any time you try this. The screen freezes up CONSTANTLY, in fact, whether you are trying to do ANYTHING. What a nightmare. Tech support was very helpful, I can't complain there at all. But after awhile, you just get sick of the problems and surrender. I sent it back, got a refund, and bought a REAL laptop computer.

Hands down the sony plus webtv unit is the best that has ever been made. With it you can surf and send email without any worry about viruses and spyware and best of all
its so easy to use your Grandma or Grandpa could figure it out in minutes. All that

Philips Magnavox MAT965A1 Webtv Classic

I bought my 75 year old dad one years ago. He has loved it completely.
He doesn't have a computer and doesn't want to learn how to use one.
This is perfect. He can interact fully by email and surf the internet all day long. Perfect product. Works perfect too.

The original Webtv by Phillip's was a Birthday gift from my cousin Denise, in 2003. I went to visit her over the Christmas holidays, in the, lower Sierra's, and at that time it was her Birthday too. She absolutely adores her Webtv, though she got a computer as a Christmas gift from her brother & his family, the following year. She so adores her Webtv! She won't give it up for anything in world, just about! She rarely even bothers to use her nice 10.1 OS computer at all! Well, only if absolutely nescessary anyway.

Ambient Market Maven

I purchased two Ambient Orbs. One was faulty, and they replaced it with no problems.

One worked perfectly for a long time (doesn't seem to be working, now), and the other worked on the middle light intensity, but not on high or low intensity. Then I dropped it and broke it (about 6 months ago).

Had them for years, but don't use them now.
