Well it is a beautiful laptop! I love it.I really , really, really want it, BUT !!!!I cant use it. I got it friday , took it out of the box started it up and BAM! the keyboard does not work. Sony is sending someone over to my house to fix it and I hope they can fix it. We got it from amazon and i hope that if sony cant fix it that amazon will ship out a new one. Ive never had an issue with amazon so i have trust in them.I will keep you updated....

I just received my MacBook Pro today and shot a quick tour. I haven't had a chance to fully review it yet, but I want to make a comment about Amazon Prime. It is the BEST. I ordered the MBP with 1 day shipping for $3.99 on Saturday, assuming it would be delivered on Tuesday. It arrived Monday before 10am. This is not the first time that has happened. I am a huge proponent of Amazon Prime, especially for Christmas shopping. Now I can play with my new MacBook Pro and not get bumped and shoved at the malls. Prime is the best!

I purchased the CTL 2 go pc and it wouldn't boot to the operating system ( Windows XP )
When I called CTL I was transferred to a guy names John who identified himself as the 2go project manger. When I asked him if he could help me he was rude and aggressive and told me he didn't have the time to answer my questions and transferred me to the technical repair line. I then spoke to a guy who sounded Eastern European and he told me he wasn't in charge of repairing 2go pcs and then he transferred me to a guy named Jason. I ordered a Sony VGN- N140E as a second laptop for the house from Sony Style following a succesful experience with a Sony Vaio in the past. Unfortunately, the machine was defective upon arrival with what appeared to be a bad contact in the power circuit which mean't that the machine would not turn on.

So I contacted Sony support but their troubleshooting did not solve the problem. Then I contacted Sony Style Customer Relations. It only took me four (4) calls to get the right person. Compaq Presario F750US 15.4-inch Laptop (AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core TK-57 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium)

I got this notebook after my desktop PC died. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the Compaq Presario F755. As far as notebooks go, this one is a no-frills basic notebook. While it has 3 USB ports, it's missing a PCI-Express slot, Firewire as well as the HP dock adaptor. As long as you don't have a need for these interfaces, this notebook is fine.

The only complaint I have is the display doesn't render colors in great fidelity when compared to my HP w1907 monitor. You'll need to either calibrate the display using the NVidia tools, or use a color calibration tool. So, if you plan on doing any image editing on this notebook, be aware of display differences.

Otherwise, excellent value and great performance for the price!
