I placed my customized order directly with Sony on October 28th and received it on October 31st, even though I was told by the website to expect 7 business days to build it (I did opt for the overnight delivery). The packaging was safe and clean and I am completely satisfied, though when buying VAIO's at the store I noticed a lot more pride in the packaging, but who cares.

I have had this laptop for over six months now and i am really getting uncomfortable with it. At first I liked the rotating and touch screen, but the laptop produces so much heat that its unbarebale. I can't leave it on my lap for more then 15 minutes. The battery life is very short.

We purchased this laptop from Amazon and were very please with the computer, but after about a week we had trouble getting on the internet with our wireless connection. Called support at HP and initially they were very helpful. They determined that the computer needed a new wireless card and they would ship us one and it would be here Thursday the 23 of October. One Friday the 24 of October I called HP because we had not received the new card and was told that that there was a hold on the shipment, but he did not know why there was a hold on the shipment and someone from Tech Support would call me on Monday. Waited till around 8pm and called HP again. They told me he would put a priority on the shipment and I would have by the end of the week. We are very disappointed ... Read More:

This is a truly amazing laptop! I bought a Compaq Presario Laptop 3 months back and was very very disappointed with it as it had a constant heating problem (It used to last just 15 mins before shutting down abruptly). I exchanged it for this Sony (silky white color) and boy.. Sony rocks!

I bought it for my wife as birthday present. She loves it and says:

Pluses: Super convenient size and fun to carry with you in your purse to use on a daily basis. I use mine as a PDA for organizational purposes and to kill time playing games while waiting at dr. offices, kids appts, etc. The pre-formatted templates for organization are great. The decorative skins that are available for this computer make it even more fun. Easy and convenient WiFi capability. Nice size keyboard for a mini computer. Short battery life doesn't matter if you can plug it in at work or home.

Minuses: Definitely a second computer. Processor not fast enough for serious word processing or serious game playing. Slow to boot up. Battery life is under 2 hours.
