There are some positives and negative.

Positives

Light but powerful

This PC is very light, but it does not sacrifice its processing power. Intel's latest 45nm P9500 works great. Even somewhat heavy graphic applications or encoding-decoding of files can work fast. Heat is also well controlled probably due to the benefit of the P9500 and the combination of internal system design and the air flow structure inside, which is typically the strong part of Sony that is very good at designing smaller consumer electronics. Pros:
Good screen: although mine has a one dead pixel, it is better than my previous ones (IBM T43 and Acer Aspire 5100). It is one of shiny ones, but as others mentioned, they did a good job of eliminating glares.

Nice audio: as far as I know, it is one of the best on a laptop. I have always disappointed on laptop's speakers, but this one rocks! And the microphone and camera work very well too.

Good processor: 2.26GHz P8400 is not the best, but it does much better than may others. For me it is fast enough.

Nice keyboard: I was bit worried about the unusual shape of it, but it is quite comfortable to type. A little wide for my taste, though (I have small hands).

I knew the company made too much profit one it, but still could not help buy got one at $390 at this beginning of the year after reading all the positive reviews.
1. Bad technical support. Emailed two questions, no answer.
2. Card reader constantly has error when it is hot in summer.
3. Less powerful cpu (actual speed 600MHz). I added 2G memory. They are useless with such cpu. Cannot properly play the popular MKV format movie.
4. It is small, but it does not fit my pocket. I don't see much difference with a normal laptop when carrying it for travel.
5. The key board is too small. Those who has a PDA with mini key board knows it.
6. I am wondering whether all those positive reviews are from the true users.

A solidly built laptop, this computer has a pleasing sturdy feel to it and very well-arranged controls. For day-to-day activities it has plenty of computational horsepower and the screen is quite bright. Harmon Kardon speakers give great sound and volume for their compact size. USB ports are conveniently located on the sides where you can access them--which also makes them easier to bump. We purchased the machine to be our primary home computer to pay bills, balance the books, surf the internet, etc. We also play an occasional game. We have found this to be an excellent and reliable machine and we recommend it without reservations.
