I have my MBA for six month right now. Overall I am almost happy, but.... Wireless antenna is not as powerful as I need. My MB pro can "see" 15 networks near my home, MBA only 6!!!!
Sometimes It takes more than 30 minute to have internet access at airports and other places.
Each time I arrive home it says "there is not preferred networks in range" !!! and it is my Home network!.
This beauty travels really easy, everybody looks at it and it is sturdy. The lack of connectivity, the insufficient USB ports, and the underperformance make me think that I have something nice but close to useless.

the unit comes with a small, basic set of utilities. a web browser, email reader, and media player with no bells or whistles. but wait! nokia advertises hundreds of great 3rd-party freeware, games, and utilities. geek candy! nokia even provides links to them on the N810 browser's default home page.

this is a clever game. nokia sells you an N810 because you want to personalize your N810 with great stuff. then you get your N810, start to install things, and warnings pop up. Like - "this software is NOT supported by Nokia and may damage your unit!". screw the warning. click through and install anyway.

I purchased the black S10 from an importer in NY, and it's been upgraded with a 2 gig RAM stick (recognizes a total of 2 gigs for the system) and a 120gb 5400 HDD.

That being said, I'll not spend any time talking about the speed of this little netbook. I've worked on the Acer Aspire One and tooled around on the first generation from Asus as well. I went with the Ideapad for a couple of reasons.

1. The high quality of Lenovos in general. I have not been disappointed. I very highly recommend this netbook. It is replacing my old VAIO T-series. I had considered getting a new VAIO, but with the huge price difference, it was worth trying out this one.

I had expected it to reflect its $700 price tag by feeling and looking cheap. I was completely wrong, and the beauty of this machine is stunning. It's so skinny, and so light, and the graphite cover is perfect! The white lights that show status above the keyboard shine gorgeous. The power brick is tiny, i can hardly believe it!

XP Home works great, and only takes up some 4gb of space. There is not an overload of bloatware as you get with SONY. The battery life, even with just 4-cell, is also great! 5.5 hours with the screen darkness all the way down, ... Read More:

The machine is great. The only thing I miss is the fingerprint reader.
The sound is nice for a notebook. It's thin and light for it's class, and definitely a very good looking machine. The battery is supperb, nearly 5,5 hours with wi-fi on, and heavy Internet browsing. It's extremely quiet, and don't get too warm. The radio tuner is excellent, very nice to have it. I can also record from a stereo line in (nice feature), it's the same input as the microphone, but you can set it up through software (great for transfer LP's to MP3). Keyboard is very smooth and responsive, very confortable to type. Don't forget it's got Bluetooth too.
I'm very happy with it. Would buy it again.

I bought this computer for my father in law. I chose it because of the huge hard drive for a laptop(250GB), the 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core Processors, and the 17" widescreen and full keyboard (has the numbers to the right). At my house we are a Mac family, but my father in law is 75 and has only known windows so we decided to purchase a pc for him. For the price, we got an awesome computer. It has the same processors as my 20"imac, and for half the price.

The only cons I have with this laptop is that:
(a) it's a pc (we just love macs)
(b) it runs on Vista (at least it's premium edition).

Other than that, if your looking for a lot of computer for a little money, then this is it!

Kickass battery. Very compact and light. Ample ports: USB, VGA, SD card, ethernet, audio. The built-in camera is not the greatest - but it is there and useful. The operating system looks a lot like windows, but you don't get Microsoft Office. Bluetooth and wi-fi are useful, but it's really slow at connecting to the wi-fi networks (it has taken me up to 10 minutes to get a glimpse of a connection). And oh, there are weird keyboard shortcuts to switch between languages and stuff that get in the way when you're typing.
Overall, the purchase is well worth it's modest price!

keyboard could be bigger and is a little overpriced compared to the eee 1000h and msi wind, especially since the specs are essentially the same.

it's not even as chic as the first Eee. They've replaced the "Asus" on the lid with a cheesy "Eee" and there are fingerprint smudges all over it.
