This is an excellent small footprint notebook computer. It is exactly what I expected. I bought this for my wife who has never, ever, used a computer. It is a hit with her.

If you want a large screen this not the notebook for you. If you are a high tipped touch typist you may find the keyboard just slightly cramped. But this is a problem with the footprint not this computer. If these two issues are a problem for you, you don't want any small footprint computer.

My wife is a hunt and peck typist and for her it is perfect.

I purchased this Toshiba Satellite L305-S5907 laptop three weeks ago from Amazon and I've been impressed. Amazon shipped my machine quickly via UPS. It was on sale for about 24 hours so I got mine for $579 with no tax, and shipping was included. This is the best price I've found on a laptop with these specs. The Toshiba is fast, quiet, two pounds lighter than my 7 year old Dell, and looks great. I've had no troubles with Vista Premium working with this machine. My only complaints are the glare on the glossy screen, if you're outside, and the glossy plastic case, which looks good, but shows fingerprints easily. I don't play alot of games on my computer and this is certainly not a gaming machine with a separate graphics card. I have a Wii for that. It ... Read More:

The main reason I bought this drive instead of others is that it does not have a lid for the USB connector. The mechanism is such that if you push up the button on the side, the USB connector pops out. I found the following problems with my drive (within 3 days of use)

1) The USB port on the my Kingston DataTraveler doesn't connect reliably to any USB port on any computer. There seems to be some loose contact always.

2) The USB connector is supposed to "lock" so that the connector doesn't go into the device (instead of the USB female port on the computer or whatever) when you try to plug in the USB drive. The locking mechanism isn't reliable on mine and at times the connector gets pushed into the memory stick itself instead of the USB female port on ... Read More:
