Purchased as extra drive/storage for my dell mini sd slot. Mounted as a D:drive and relocated My Documents to it. Perfect companion for any net/notebook. Gets consistent 15-17mbs read/write speeds. Awesome little USB hub. Feels heavy enough when you pick it up, but it does move around some if the cables tug on it. It does come with some kind of mounting base, but I don't use it. It needs to be plugged in, which is a pain since I have like 4 power strips that are full of wide transformers. The blue light is very bright and does not go out when the computer is powered off. It's so bright I have to put a book on top of it so it doesn't keep me up at night. Never had a problem with the hub. Never had to jiggle the wires to get a connection. Would definitely buy another if I needed one.

Pro: With the rebate, this is an excellent price for a USB 2.0 hub. I've had up to 6 USB 2.0 devices connected to it without any problems. I've had it for almost a year.

Con: Does not work well with USB 1.1 devices. I connected a USB 1.1 scanner to the hub. For about one out of every 6 scans, the scanner will lock up and I have to reboot the PC to restart it. If I connect the USB 1.1 scanner through a USB 1.1 hub, then it locks up about once every 25 scans. In any case, ALL the USB devices slow down significantly when the USB 1.1 scanner was connected - It didn't matter whether or not I was using the scanner. My USB 1.1 printer also causes the slowdown. Though I wish I had waited a couple of weeks to buy this card (the price dropped 30 dollars in the past two weeks), I have nothing but good things to say about the card. Easy to load, easy to read. I managed to put about 11 gigs on here in the first three days (lots of music) and the access has been flawless. Word of caution, be careful with the card reader. My first attempt led to a corrupted card which I had to return. May have been a manufacturing defect (bought from best buy, not from Amazon. Best buy charged 99.00). I reccomend loading the card in the device before adding data rather than using the reader and then inserting loaded card.

All in all, a miracle of storage on a tiny card. I eagerly await the 32 gb in a year or two.

The Scandisk Micromate Reader was as easy to use as a USB drive. Just insert the memory card from the camera into the Micromate Reader and plug into the USB port on the PC and easily transfer pictures to your PC.

Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical

This is the second Logitech Trackman that I've purchased. Both work perfectly and were installed in less than 3 minutes. The only consideration is: do your hands shake slightly - or more? I have a mild medical condition that causes my fingers to shake slightly when doing intricate work. Occasionally, this causes problems when trying to get the computer's pointer on a small object. Overall, the Logitech Trackman is a terrific product.

Brother HL-2170w 23ppm Laser Printer with Wireless & Wired Network Interfaces

I bought this printer in October 2008 and have been using it for a month now. I am very pleased with it and I am happier each day. It is easy to use and is as fast as advertised (maybe even faster). After installation I moved it to a corner near a power plug (because the wireless mode needs no other connection) and it faithfully and quickly prints slews of reports.

The setup directions are very clear but you have to follow the directions in the manual precisely. I did have to download new print drivers for Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.5 but other than that I didn't have any issues.

I felt risky ordering these, but they're just fine, work great, no problems at all plugging them into camcorder or Mac USBs to capture footage in Final Cut. I ordered 15 for the school where I teach and students have been using them all the time, no problems at all. I will say I felt it was nasty that they shipped all 15 together but charged for each one shipping separately - and they charged a HUGE shipping fee for each. When I wrote asking them, they answered but they were icy.
