I read the reviews on different printers for quite a few months now and decided to break down and buy the HP Photosmart 4480. I was worried that the photo prints would not be good but I was wrong. The first picture I printed was like getting a professional print. I then found I could not get the same quality of prints there after. The pictures were "pixelly" and not good quality. I messed with the settings and came up with the perfect combination that I was getting professional quality prints again. I must have printed more than 20 photos and have not even used half the color ink and hardly any black ink. I bought this product to rescue my stuff from a crashed PC and transfer it to a MAC. It is and does exactly as advertised. Mine did work with the HD jumper in the "Master" position per the instructions. It was set to "Master" when I rescued it from the PC. Otherwise, I would have retained the original setting for the first try.

The instructions do say to spool the disk up to speed before making the USB connection and this is necessary.

My only problem was with the screws. The screws for the faceplate are a very slightly different size than those that secure the HD in the case. It took me awhile to figure that one out with my 65 year old eyes.

The cord was way cheaper than buying the video and audio cords seperate. I did have to buy an extention for the audio end that connects to the computer though because it is only a foot long and I need about 14" to reach the other side of my laptop. Other than that, Great Buy!!!

This is one of the best mouse i have ever used. Very smooth you dont even need a mouse pad on a normal surface, but if you are going to use it on glass you'll need a mouse pad.

For a 2.1 speaker system under 70 dollars, these things perform quite well. The biggest problem I have with them is that there is no tweeters, but I knew that prior to buying them. The mids and the lows perform amazing for the price range. The speakers also take up little room on my desk since they are skinny. All in all, the speakers are well worth the buy.

I ordered this just over a month ago, and I recieved it in the time frame that I was told. It is great! My computer works great with it and it was really easy to install! I have never installed one before, but I wanted to try and do it myself and not have to get someone else to do it! It was so easy to do and once installed, I downloaded the disk and it was ready to go...it was really quite simple,and I am far from a computer expert. So if I can do it, so can you! I'm so glad I got it and I will probably be purchasing a couple more in the near future for my kids' computers too!!

I haven't put it under extensive use but so far it seems to be very rugged and has performed flawlessly backing up a pc laptop. The extra ports are great and give faster options. I would definitely use this as a direct to disk option using a laptop and firewire video camera. It also runs great off of bus power using any of the available ports. I would highly recommend this drive.

The content on the Apple iTunes store does not offer 1080p for purchase, but you can rent 1080p content or add it (if you can get it) from your computer. There are also 1080p video podcasts. 5.1 digital surround is now supported and you can rip your DVDs using 5.1 with Handbrake software (free download on the web). Handbrake works with Mac OS 10.5 or > and Windows (if you are unfortunate enough to not have a Mac).

Caveats: It does run hot. The video used to lag, but this seems much better with the latest releases of the OS. The GUI can stick and then jump - so you click 3 times with no effect and then it jumps the 3 positions, etc. The remote control is a pain when typing passwords or searching youtube, etc.

As noted in other reviews this is a bare drive, wrapped only in a thin plastic anti-static bag. In stark contrast to every other hard drive that I have ordered over the Internet, Amazon provides almost no protective packaging for the drive in shipment.

When I opened the package from Amazon, tossed on my front porch by the UPS driver, I noticed a few air-packs on top of the drive and ABSOLUTELY NO PROTECTION BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE DRIVE AND THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX. In other words, the bare drive was placed in the box, a few air-packs were placed on top, and the package was shipped.

It is worth adding that Seagate will void the drive's 5-year warranty if "the drive experiences shock in excess of 350 Gs." How much is 350Gs? I am not sure, ... Read More:

I'd previously owned the first $1099 white Macbook that Apple introduced when the switched to using Intel chips. It was a good machine, but this one blows it out of the water. Not only does it take on some of its older brother's look, but it truly is an impressive machine with the the additional touch pad.

Pros:

- Beautiful, seamless design similar to the previous Macbook Pro aluminum design
- Easy to open compartment on the bottom for accessing the hard drive, battery, and RAM
- Doesn't get very "Hot." I've yet to think I need to put it on something when its on my lap, even despite watching DVDs or doing other intensive work.
