I have a Chinese Crested Hairless and this coat works great for my dog's bare front and hind quarters. I agree with the review that the hood is pretty much useless. The sizes are pretty true to size. Very easy to put on and easy to clean.

This vest seemed sturdy enough and the straps adjusted well to my dog's girth, but the zipper was a disappointment, being rather likely to unravel when you pulled your pet up to lift him or her.

My dog is approimately 127 lbs. and when I tried it on her and lifted her, the stitching around the zipper looked as if it would break if I did this manuver a few more times, especially in the water. The stitching needs better reinforcement.

I would recommed it for a dog no more than 80 lbs. tops, if you are going to fish your very large pup in and out of the water many times. (Although it will keep your dog safe and afloat and seen in an emergency, so that is a plus in its favor.)

I tried to find out size information before hand - but all I found was what is printed on the packaging. Turns out the 'small' raincoat is too small for my little dog and the design of this coat means that there is not much room for size differences. It also seems like difficult to put on (even if it had fit him) as there is no velcro for quick dressing/undressing - only very small holes you have to stick his little legs through. These are probably great for keeping the thing on him, but he has to agree to get into it in the first place. For these 2 reasons, I've given it only 2 stars.

My 4 lb chihuahua loves her new lifejacket, the handle on top is ideal. Id buy this again for my other dogs.
