I did not actually get to use this product but I was impressed by the quality of it. The stray cat ran away shortly before it arrived. However I priced the same item at Pet Smart and it was a little over $20.00 more than the one I ordered online. The product was shipped quickly and when I returned it, I was issued a credit to my account quickly also.

Replacement Cover #317713 for Large Coolaroo Pet Bed

Price was fair. Delivery was very quick. The replacement cover is strong, but the dog's nails will probably wear it out in about a year or so as happened with the original cover. This is affordable. I am unaware of a more durable cover to fit the frame.

K&H 6" x 20" Pet Bed Warmer

My older cat just loves her heated bed. She has to have it because she has arthritis and is just so small and gets real cold without it. The heated bed itself is a lifesaver and works very well. But I've gone through two of these heated pet warmers. This last one only lasted about 12 months. I'm about to purchase my third heating pad. So, if it's important enough to you to keep your animal warm, it will cost you about $30 a year. Perhaps other people have had better luck...but a year to 18 months is all I've been able to get out of mine.

The product arrived very quickly and as ordered. My cats love the thermal mat. I just put it down and showed it to them. Don't put them on it. You need to let cats think it is thier idea to lay on it. (LOL)

I bought one at the local pet store for around $20.00. My cat really likes it and uses it all the time. I tried it out myself one cold winter night and it kept me snuggly warm - just needed it to be bigger! Later, I found the exact same item for $5.00 at Walgreen's and scooped up two more. Now I have my very own and I gave one to my elderly mother who is always cold...

Replacement Cover #317706 for Medium Coolaroo Pet Bed

I made my own outdoor bed much like the Coolaroo. I made the covers for the beds from lawn furniture fabric which matched our furniture at the time. The frames are easily and inexpensively made using simple PVC tubing readily available at any Lowes or Home Depot along with the corner/leg pieces which are used to make undergound sprinkler systems and other things. Just cut the PVC to the needed lengths with a hacksaw and decide the height you want and cut the leg pieces. Takes all of ten minutes to make a frame once you have your measurements.

That said, our covers were finally wearing out and I opted to go with the Coolaroo covers. Well made and durable fabric with good stitching. Should last for several years. I'll be making a couple ... Read More:

I'm very glad to critique this item. It was VERY deceptively Advertised!!! I needed the PAD for a larger doggie-hut, but settled for its advertised SIZE of 14" X 28". The foam-rubber pad and cover certainly are that size...but NOT THE ACTUAL Heating Pad which is slightly uder 6" by slightly over 20". YES - that is the truth!! I was at a very busy time in my life, and sending it all back would have been MOST inconvenient. I would NEVER order anything else from this COMPANY! I may be wrong - but something I quickly read about their RETURN Process seemed to be one of JUMPING THRU HOOPS. The POINT is - they should NEVER have advertised the MAT at such a size - when it was the FLUFF that made up for the difference NOT the Mat itself.
