Unlike the big puffy pillow types of dog beds, this bed doesn't have a lot of cushioning in the center part of the bed. It is soft and comfortable--like laying on a rug--but it is not like laying on a pillow, which is a little challenging for some dogs. My large (110 pounds) dog loves the bed. So do the smaller dogs in the house, and the cat. They all seem to congregate around the bed. At times, there are 2 or 3 of them trying to claim their own area of the bed. There is plenty of space for all of them, if they can get along well enough. Anyway, this is an excellent bed and an excellent value also.

I have a chichuahua mix and this bed is perfect! Nice and soft, Machine washable. More importantly my dog loves it. Sleeps and plays on it all the time.

Two problems: 1.)When you order something called a "Kitty Dome," you expect it to be for cats. This cat bed came covered with a fabric print of dogs! The manufacturer should change the name to "pet dome" or be clear that some of the fabrics will feature dogs.

2.)In addition to its "doggie" appearance, the "Kitty Dome" had a chemical odor when it arrived. With recent concerns about PVC in shower curtains, I couldn't help but wonder what harm the fumes from this could cause. Also, the odor was a drawback for my cat.

My cat loves to get into her "Kitty Dome" now. Since she'd liked to get inside paper bags and to sleep under the covers, I thought this might be a good bed for her. The fake sheepskin floor of the bed ... Read More:
