I purchased this item for my German Shepherd puppy and she love's it. It is really soft and well made. My puppy sleeps curled up with this every night.

What a horrible waste of money these are, they are too small even the largest of the largest are too small, they don't stay on, they don't hold any liquidy material, the stuff gets all over the dog, the carpet, the house and you just blew away $15 buckos for absolutely nothing!

I love this. As soon as I got home I was so excited about this item. My dog is a rescue cocker spaniel and learned how to use it very fast. I put a wee wee pad (perfect fitting inexpensive pads can be found purchased at [...]) underneath the grill and at first he was confused. He kept walking over the grill and trying to pee elsewhere. This was a purchase I made as a gift for my daughter and her 12 year old son.
I purchased a similar 'kit' pertaining to dogs for myself and have found it very helpful as well as interesting for my use with dogs I own.
My daughter has a young cat and an older dog.
Since "you cannot teach an old dog new tricks" ( that's a joke, because really you can :) ha,ha ), I decided she would enjoy this set for her cat to be stimulated to learn new things for not only her and her son's amusement, but for the cat to having something to do as well.
Perhaps, the cat can amuse the dog while 'mom' is away for the day at work and the son is at school...

I am a veterinary behaviorist at a veterinary school, and this is the one thing that I CONSTANTLY recommend that veterinary students recommend for their new puppy owners. It is thorough without being too wordy, and correct in stating that puppies need to get out and socialize before their primary socialization period is over at about 16 weeks.

There are separate booklets covering different topics (housetraining, socialization, etc). When the owner is overwhelmed with the wealth of information in the booklets, there is also a flipchart that summarizes the important points. There is also a poster that summarizes it even more!

This item is worthless on small animals. The collar's plastic is too rigid for a 6lb dog's neck. If you keep it tight, it only shifts around to the side of their neck. I've had this for almost a year and it's only worked a handful of times. Do not waste your money. I spent the extra money on this model because I thought that it was more humane - now I'm just a moron that's out $80.

Our family was recently blessed with the sweetest little puppy but he's definitely more of a chewer than any dog I've ever had. My husband and I are both techno geeks so we have a lot of not only expensive but dangerous electrical stuff that we just can't pick up off the floor. We were so frustrated and I thought there was no way to stop our little hoover vacuum from munching on everything in site but one quick chomp of my husband's shoe laces after spritzing this stuff on them and he learned that the smell equals yuck! This product worked really well for about 1 month. We have two 7 month German Shepard/ Chow mix one of the dogs chased a cat and ran straight though the invisible fence. Bad news for the Cat..... We now have the Stubborn dog collar on him now. We will see how that will work for him now.

But if you have a low energy dog. It works Great... His brother never goes by the invisible fence. He does really well with this collar.

It depends on the dog.
