I give this collar high marks for quality and value compared to others in the same price range, but would encourage others to consider the same collar in it's regular output instead of this 'stubborn' model.

At level 1 neither my lab nor I can feel anything and at level 2 my lab often yelps. I got this model because my lab can be quite stubborn and very strong leash corrections didn't faze him a bit.

I think a better choice would have been the regular model.

This collar is often advertised as having 16 intensity levels, but that is misleading. The dial is numbered 1-8 and comes programmed for 8 intensity levels. It can be reprogrammed (the owners manual gives instructions and they aren't difficult) to ... Read More:

I have 3 small dogs who like to roam into areas of the house they should not. When I leave the house, I activate the SSScat canisters in rooms where I don't want the dogs. Since using this product, I haven't found any "surprises" on the carpet when I return home.

I bought this product after buying one from Petco. The product is great but be careful because they do shrink a bit. I had bought the small and it shrunk . I Then bought the medium from Amazon and got a fabulous deal, less than half the price and free shipping! The medium was quite a bit larger but I pinned them to fit and they work great, my dog loves them and my house is now dry. They stay in place, wash easily and are easy to put on. My dog get excited because he knows he can roam freely in the house with it on and not be corraled to stop the accidents. I love these things!

I've been buying these for months because of the size. My dogs were WEEWEE pad trained because I worked. They are now almost 3, I don't work and the only thing that has changed is the PRICE of this product. The price increased by $5.00 per pack in the last month or so. $16.99 to $21.99 is a HUGE increase. The product is very good, but could only give it 3 stars because of the price. If the product had improved & was thicker, larger or something, it wouldn't be too bad. A 25% increase is crazy!

Have 2 small dogs and long work hours - so like to provide a bit of insurance with pads - and these were absorbant, reduced odor, and they seemed to like them - unlike some cheaper versions that they tended to avoid.

Our cat is 10 years old and is mostly my husband's cat. I am not really fond of cats because of their penchants for clawing everything (seemingly just because they can!) We never got her declawed because of the supposed pain and possible complications so as a result, we've lived with clawed furniture. Recently, however, we purchased a nice new micro-fiber sofa that was fairly expensive. We thought the cat would ignore it since she has a huge (8 foot) cat condo tower scratching post. THESE ARE THE BEST OUT THERE. I HAVE 2 SMALL MULTIPOO'S THAT DON'T GO OUT BECAUSE WE LIVE IN A HIGH RISE. WE HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR OVER A YEAR AND THEY ARE SIMPLY THE BEST. NO TRACKING OR SMELLING. THEY ARE A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT THE PRICE IS WORTH IT. WE HAVE TRIED MANY OTHER BRANDS BEFORE THESE AND NOTHING COMPARED. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON OTHER BRANDS.

After a couple of escape attemps, my very stubborn Boxer decided that it wasn't worth "correction" and now respects his boundries. Other systems were not powerful enoungh but this one seems to have done the trick- I hope!

What a wonderful training tool. Absolutely stops the behavior when we spray. Our dog stops and looks around trying to find the source of the spray - which he always thinks is in the ground somewhere. He was much better behaved when wearing it.

The collar itself, however, is not very good. Ours slipped loose several times - even when assembled exactly as shown in the instructions. The last time this happened our dog ate the spray box... Luckily I was able to duct tape it back together and miraculously it still worked. But the collar is destroyed because he bit it into several pieces before we caught him.

After my divorce I moved in with my sister and her husband. At the time I had a 14 year old Maltese who died shortly after I moved in with them.
