My cat rarely used this scratching post. I got a different scratching post, also made of sisal but with a carpet base, put it right next to this one and he did use the new post. I ended up throwing this one away after a few months. I noticed that the rope was fraying a lot, despite him rarely using it. The base is too small and it tips over very easily, scaring the cat.
The Tell Bell has worked extremely well for us as we have used it for almost a year now. We have been so exceedingly thrilled with our Tell Bell that we have purchased numerous Tell Bells for friends! I've been truly impressed with the quality and innovative design specifically made for dogs, which makes it comfortable to ring. A cheap bell from the store was not designed for a dog's paw and seems like it would annoy their paw when they stepped on it. Bells that hang on the door are not as effective as they scratch and ruin the door and would make noise when you open it. Additionally, we found that watching the instructional DVD as a family helped us all to get on the same page with her training, and the booklet was helpful to refer to and review ... Read More:
My regular vet suggested this collar for my two-year-old Belgian Tervuren. The first month it takes about a week to notice a difference, but after that first week, I realized that Riley's anxiety had noticably depreciated. While he is still anxious, this collar absolutely helps to lessen his anxiety. For extremely stressful sitations I supplement with an oral anxiety medication (Composure). I do highly recommend this collar, it really seems to help calm my baby, but don't expect miracles :)

Lucy is a 5 lb Miniature Pincher, who travels to Costa Rica 3 times a year. She has been trained to use a pad since birth--no problem staying in hotels, relieving herself in the airport restroom, or any restroom. We live in the jungle on the Osa Peninsula--and NEVER go out after dark to pee. I cut the pad in half and keep it in the bathroom; it can get stinky after the first use, so I fold the end of the pad over the first spot, and then toss it after the second. This way she will pee on one pad 4 times, and it never smells bad. On the Osa we have to bury or burn all trash and garbage, or cart it back out with us. These get buried right along with the organic garbage, and I don't worry about harming the environment.
The DAP air diffuser works great for Ozzie, but this collar set him off immediately on old behaviors like biting himself and marking the house. As soon as I took it off, he recovered. We continue to use the air diffuser with great success.

With three dogs in the house, there is always something that sets one off barking. The other two dogs always follow the chorus. We tried every training method we could find, (sorry Ceasar) but could never get permanent control. Put one in our entryway, where the dogs always congregated in chaos when someone came to the door, and it worked! Two of the dogs, a maltese and a terrier, silenced immediately. The Yorkie was a little more hard headed, and barked through it the first couple of times. Which annoyed the two dogs that were silent. Still, the Yorkie has figured out that a low bark or growl is better than setting the "Bark Free" off.
Eventually, the Dogs figured out that there was one part of the house where they could bark and not trigger the ... Read More:
My cats were marking a spot repeatedly at my last residence and using my new furniture as a scratching post. I bought the feliway spray and sprayed it on my furniture and carpets in my new place before I moved in. So far no marking on the carpets and they use the scratching post as a scratching post not my furniture. It is going on two months now. Just bought some more to keep the good luck going.

These are the best pads but what happened to the price? They also used to be eligible for Prime. My dog is litter-box trained and these were what we used because they really are great. They are way too expensive now though. The earth friendly ones are cheaper and aren't bad at all.
Did make some difference for a while. The dogs went to the other side of the house to bark. They seem to have become immune to it now. Trying it on the audible setting may have a better result but be prepared to confront the issue with your neighbours. They won't like the audible setting. Could be a good thing though.
