We lost a dearly beloved animal companion due to the poisoning of pet food from China. He enjoyed that food very much and then it killed him.

I have been to China and met many lovely people and they of course are not all responsible for that tragedy. But until we have been convinced that our trust will not be violated again (pet food, toothpaste, painted toys) we will not consume anything from China and neither will our critter companions.

If they will produce this food and the ingredients in a safer location, where stricter controls are in place, we will buy it.

I've purchased boxes of pig ears directly from Merrick as well as through Amazon.com sellers. Any problem with the pig ears needing to be wiped off originates with Merrick's shipping: in large 'knock-down' boxes that are not sealed airtight and so can get 'dusty' during transit. If it were not for this, they'd get a 5-star rating. I've registered this concern with Merrick two or three times, but don't know if anything has changed, because I no longer buy directly from them (their retail prices are higher to me than if I buy from one of the sellers; go figure). The pig ears themselves are top quality, nice size and very, VERY much enjoyed by my cattle dog. I do recommend supervision when you dog is enjoying a pig ear (ditto for the Flossies), ... I have been looking for these locally but couldn't find them anywhere so I went online. The price was much better than anywhere else. I was a bit skeptical, but everything went well. The product arrived quickly and it was just what I was looking for. The whole experience was quick and painless. I look forward to ordering some more after my dogs finish up this batch. By the way, my dogs just love these things and they take a little time to chew up which is good.

These are hard to find and the pack of 6 is a good deal. We actually have 3 Great Danes and a German Pointer. 2 of the Danes are pups and pay attention very well while being schooled IF and only if I have these cookies or real meat. No other training treat works like this. I order the small size (yes for Great Danes) because they are perfect size for a training reward. Here are the ingredients: Barley Flour, Ground Chicken, Carrots, Apples, Rolled Oats, Canola Oil, Flax Seed, Sesame Seed, Sunflower Seeds, Natural Peanut Flour, Natural Flavor. (Certified Organic).
I mean come on - that is excellent stuff. They smell good too. Sometimes walmart will carry the cheese ones but peanut butter trumps them all!

My Yorkie liked the original Kong treat that came with the Kong toy, so we thought we'd get some more. When I opened the bag I almost fell over from the horrible smell! Plus, our Yorkie doesn't seem to like them as much (not sure why). They should at least make the smell somewhat pleasant as I dread opening the bag to try to get one out!

...then you're little ball of terror will like this toy. I have two cats, one that is over 2 years old, and very smart, yet stand-offish. When holding the head end and bouncing the tail in front of her, she merely sniffs it; after about 30 seconds of dangling it in front of her, she will bat at it out of annoyance. However, this is how she reacts to all dangling toys. If I show it to her, and then dangle it behind something, she will want to pounce on it. If it's right in front of her face, she ignores it.

My other cat, on the other hand, is a male, about 6 months old, and will go after anything that moves. He goes absolutely crazy when I dangle it in front of him.

Liver Chiplets are a staple in my three dog household...Have been buying them for about a year, and all my dogs love them..They love these treats, almost as much as they love beef marrow bones! I buy by the case, and it lasts a couple of months for a three dog family..Inside each package, there are a few free samples of different treats that durango produces. You cant go wrong...Only about 3 ingredients, and all healthy.. I can't praise the chiplets enough! My dogs are all different, from a Benji type dog, to an Airedale Mix, and a Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix...They all love em, and will be the most obedient to receive them!
