My two small dogs love these dog treats, they are a great kong stuffer, just seal up the kong w/peanut butter and it will keep them occupied for a while. My folks Irish Setter also loves these treats, doesn't just gulp them down, tho they are small, and chews each one. Perfect size for small dogs and good treats for discriminating big dogs.

I previously wrote a review for the chicken, so I couldn't update it there. Please see my Other Reviews , the one for Septmber 30th so you can fully understand my follow-up about the change in ingredients below.

Kind of funny, I waited for 3 months to hear back from the manufacturer of Gennies Pill Pockets about their change in their ingredients and since posting this on 9/30, I received an e-mail, finally, on 10/2, coinsidence, maybe. Here is what they stated:

Good Dog Treats, Apple Dumpling

I mixed these with yogurt and applesauce as a Kong filling and my dogs loved it. They weren't real enthusiastic about them dry, but it may have been because they saw the Kongs and new what was coming!

Our vet recommended these to us for our arthritic German Shepherds (8 and 12) in conjunction with other treatments. They absolutely LOVE them. But beware, they do smell horrible to humans. These are much better received than any of the other glucosamine pills we tried; I even use them for a bit of training after dinner because they'll do just about anything to get one.

Five stars for project quality, two for inventory control/quality control. We've ordered these before and been happy. This last time we ordered two boxes, to stock up for our two greyhounds. One box was what we ordered. When we opened the second box, however, we discovered it was a different product (same outer box). Our local natural pet store agreed to take the box in exchange and order the bullies for us from now on.

I bought the initial treat ball at my vet's office, and after it kept my golden busy for a LONNNNNG time I knew I had to find the refills cheaper than they sell them! She LOVES them - when she sees me get it out of the package she follows me nosing my hand trying to sneak it out of my hand. She works at them for awhile, and pops them out of the treat ball, but they still keep her busy. Would be excellant for dogs in crates that need to be kept busy.

I've been buying this product for a couple years.. I didn't know it was offered in such a SMALL container... So when I ordered them, I expected a container TWICE the size...
