Pro-Treat Beef Liver, Freeze Dried 14 Ounce

Our oldees have bought freeze dried liver treats for several years and we just love them. In an effort to save a penny or two and try a different supplier (oldee talk) they bought this brand. The liver treats are just as tasty as all the others (generic?) but this package had far too many broken pieces and dried mush. It was sad to see so many broken pieces and all the dust in the box. The whole and even the broken pieces were good but I sure hope the supplier and liver folks do better in the future.
11-15-08 update: We almost finished the container and the incidence of waste (whole pieces that have been reduced to almost dust) is about 33% and that is far too much. I would change my rating from a 4 to a 3. The only reason it is ... Read More:

1 Lb. Bull Sticks

I've ordered the 12 inch thinner sticks for my dog before and he loves them. I ordered these by accident last time (wasn't paying enough attention!!) and although the dog still loves them they smell incredibly bad! The longer, thinner sticks no not have this bad smell (unless you stick them right by your nose I suppose). As soon as I opened the pack of these sticks the smell infused the entire house and when I gave the dog one his paws carried the horrible smell for days afterward. I finally put him in the sink and washed his paws.

I'd recommend the longer 12 inch sticks over these simply for the smell. I ended up just throwing this pack out and ordering the longer ones.

My five pound toy Poodle loves these! She is on a low fat diet due to some pancreas problems (don't ask) and these just fit the bill! Of course I break these in half to keep her weight just right. I almost want to snatch one myself, they smell so good.

I know about dogs refusing things so don't be too upset if your dog refused these. I got some very expensive vitamins from the holistic vet to try to build her up after she was sick. She absolutely refused to touch them no matter what I did. I tried a year later and she still won't touch them! She got better after the medical treatment and has stayed healthy. Go figure!

My dog really loves these and she is old, so it really helps with keeping her teeth clean. The original formula did cause a some dogs to have bowel obstructions and die in a very unpleasant way, but this is a new formula, easier to chew, but still helps keep the teeth clean. They are not cheap, but my old girl absolutely lives for these things.

My dog loves these flossies. They are like a bully stick, but a little more of a challenge to chew. They are great for a small dog/puppy who is a medium chewer.

I don't know what it is about them, but they like them over every other tendon, bone treat. My dogs are Italian Greyhounds, not so big, so each one lasts them 3 days or more.

The only words to describe this product are fabulous...low in calories, great taste, dog loves, etc. Wish I could keep enough of them around to satisfy my 65 pound Wheaten terrier. Unfortunately, Petco gets only a few items per month and PetSmart never has them. Would like to order directly from company.

These are absolutely wonderful treats. I take them to the dog park, cut up and in my pocket, for my little boy and I feel like the pied piper as all of the dogs surround me ignoring other treats on offer.
