This is one of the easiest products to use. My seven year old figured out how to use it in 10 minutes. It works very well for recording videos and it is so easy to upload the video to your computer. All the software is embedded into the device. It works like a charm.

What a great gadget! This product is everything it is claimed to be. Can be used right out of the box. E-mailing videos? No problem! Posting to YouTube? No problem! Marvelous natural light videos. Editing software limited but for 90% of my needs the camera's capabilities will suffice. If more editing is needed, you'll have to switch to another product such as Microsoft MovieMaker. (If only the Microsoft MovieMaker was so easy to use and realiable!)

I recd the package right away. We took it on vacation to the beach and it was so easy to use and it took great videos. So light in weight, we had people asking us all the time what type of camera was it and where could they get it. Would recommend to anyone that wants a reasonable lightweight camera to take on vacation to film the kids.

For a number of years now, possibly 5, I've been using a Sanyo Xatci, since they first came out, mainly for it's small size, portability, flash based media and ease of use. It was not however used for it's high quality results. And for indoors, forget it, the light only worked for snap shots, not video. So for outdoor events, it was handy and easy to carry. But you could forget about it for indoors or low light situation. It's audio was also very poor unless your subject was within a few feet and battery power, under continuous filming you were lucky to get 60 minutes out of it.

I love this camcorder. My previous one was a Sony, bought some years ago. I wanted to get a hi-def machine so I did some online research and this seemed to be scoring highly, and also had a good price from Amazon. I was also keen to go for the AVCHD as that is becoming more widely compatible. I am impressed with the picture quality. It is easy to transfer files to the PC, using the memory card or with a cable, but you need to use the software that comes with it. The flash memory allows the camera to be very compact but it has a nice feel to it, even though I have quite large hands. The menus could be a little bit more ituitive, but they are not bad. I would recommend this to a friend.

They sold me a defective product. A HV30 camcorder. The shoe does not work. Come on people, how hard is it to check and see if the shoe works before sending it out of the factory? And the desk top recharger worked for a few days and then died. I of course contacted customer service and they told me to bit it. Sure, send it in and someday you might get it back. But I bought it to use now, on the campaign trail, I told them. And they said, that's your problem.

Time to start looking elsewhere, people.
