Nikon Sports IV 10x25 Silver Birding Binocular

Compact, easy to focus binocular. It has a carrying case with strap so it can go to the woods easily. I look forward to using it almost daily from my sun porch and when I go birding this spring.

I have written a long review on the Steiner 7x50 Commander V Binoculars. Much of what I wrote in that review applies to these binocs, as they are still 7x50's...... so if you are trying to decide if 7x50 is right for you, then read that review on amazon. All visual optics are a function of their optical design, build quality, and mostly their visual experience.....then, you compare all this to the selling price. Quite clear images and good depth of field, lightweight. The focus control does little and there is no individual eyepiece adjustment, but easy to use. Good value.

For Ruger 10/22 4x30 Rifle Scope free mount and rings combo

Well, where do I begin? I took this to the range with my new 10/22 yesterday.

The rings that come in this package are terrible. They loosen up after about one magazine through your 10/22, and need constant re-tightening. As you can imagine, this makes the scope shoot less than perfectly. It took a very long time to get the scope zeroed in, and the adjustments did not seem like they were holding perfectly through a 500 round day. You might be able to apply some Loctite to these to make them hold better, but then taking them off would be a massive pain. Believe me, you'll want to take them off sooner rather than later.

I have a 8 inch SC scope. The Celestron Car Battery Adapter allows me to view for many hours without worry about running out of my base batteries. Now I can take very long photos of the heavens.. This is one great extension for night viewing.

Celestron NexStar 8 SE Telescope

When I opened the package I was surprised the quality of the product. I went right away to test it in my first night. Due to Florida's terrible rainy days lately it was mostly cloudy yet I was able to see Mars, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moon and clouds, even behind a tinted glass! That's how high quality these optics are. Able to gather celestial light even with such terrible viewing conditions.

The eyepiece that came with it(25mm)is of very good quality itself, I bought a an eyepiece set but I still find myself using it a lot. The tracking does drain batteries fast so I had no choice than to upgrade to an AC power supply. Due to high humidity, dew was a problem on the optics, had to buy a dew shield.

Bushnell Yardage Pro Laser Rangefinders Elite 1500

I'm an avid golfer, and I bought the "hunter's" version of the Bushnell rangefinder by mistake; intending to buy the "pinseeker" version. Based on the reviews, and researching the elite 1500 at Bushnell's web site, I was convinced the pinseeker and bullseye technology are identical. I therefore kept the hunter's version, being too lazy to go through the return process. On the course today, I never missed a pin using the bullseye setting. Occasionally, I would get the background yardage for a second, and then the flag setting would kick in. I could also easily mark the distance to the 150 post for driving purposes, or, on par 5s, hit the flag distance (which was a breeze), and I could backout that distance by 100 yards to get the perfect lay up. ... Celestron Firstscope 70EQ 70mm Refractor Telescope

Celestron's 70 mm (2.75 inches)is the most basic beginning telescope one can buy. Here's why:

1. The objective (front lens) diameter is not the smallest out there, but pretty close. It will give decent views of he moon and very small images of the planets. Deep sky objects will appear fuzzy and dim.

2. The two eyepieces are appropriate for the size of the objective. Too many scopes advertize their extreme powers and in most cases the image is so poor the higher powers are completely useless. In this case, Celestron is not pushing magnification, which is good. However the highest power that should be used with a scope this size is about 140 power, which under ideal viewing conditions gives good views of the moon and planets. ... Read More:

Zeiss Portable Lens Care System for all Camera Lens & Spotting Scope Glass

I love the brush in the lipstick case (keeps dust and finger oil off it better). I love the carrying case. It keeps it all together and fits in my pocket. Living in the windy/dusty desert, having it all contained in it's own container really helps. I love the cleaner that does not leave thick film on my lenses. I love the thick towel, which led me to throw out all my old yellow ones.

What I do NOT love is the high price. :(

We wanted a pair of binoculars that are lightweight, smaller, and yet powerful for a variety of uses: bird watching, sports events, viewing vacation spots. These are really great; we are very pleased with the quality and ease of focus adjustment.
