This scope is what it is, a small, graduated monocular. You must hold it steady to use it effectively. It should be used to augment your distance estimates, in addition to course markers, etc. You don't get sophistication at this price. For beginning golfers, it's better than a wag!

it is worth its price. I strongly suggest to people who have interest in microscopy. Easy setup (actually out-of-the-box ready!) 5 free uniteresting slides, but still good enough to set up your fine tunes.

Good price but not impressive viewing. Better to be used as a binocular. It doesn't magnify very well and gets very frustrating to use. Would not recommend.

after looking at the reviews for this, i pulled the trigger and picked them up. We hike often through the local parks and these are so sweet! Like I said, not at all a pro at this sort of thing, so they are easy to use and crystal clear along with bringing the life right to one's eyes. The field of vision is pretty stellar as well. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had bought these slides for my 11 year old daughter who had just recieved a microscope. When they arrived, two of them were broken! Luckily, the specimen was not damaged, so they were still okay to use. I think those slides broke because the wooden box was a little too big for the slides to fit in. Each slide was labeled with the name of the specimen that you were looking at. There were some spelling mistakes on the labeling on the slides, but everything on the little sheet that had all the names on it was spelled correctly. For example, the sheet said that specimen #22 was part of a Dog's Small Intestine. The label on the slide itself said it was part of a Small Lntestine. Intestine was spelled incorrectly. BelOMO 10x Triplet Loupe Folding Magnifier

I wanted a handheld magnifier for plant and insect identification and this BelOMO loupe exceeds my requirements. The field of view is indeed quite good, and the casing is well constructed. It is an excellent value at going prices.

Don't let the pictures fool you; loupes like this one are still ridiculously small (approx. 1" x 1.25" x 1" when closed) and will get lost easily even in your daypack. If you plan on using it regularly in the field, it would be worth the couple extra dollars to purchase this loupe with one of the optional clip-on neck lanyards (sold via Amazon by Amateur Geologist, the US supplier for BelOMO loupes in the US).

Brunton Echo 10-30x21 Zoom Monocular

I've had this monocular scope for a few weeks now. I haven't been able to find any reviews on this monocular. I'm guessing that it is either too new for any extensive reviews, or this product was a failure, and its on the way out.

In either case, I'll provide maybe the 1st review I've seen anywhere.

Pros: Great optical clarity. Zoom is a very useful function, especially with a portable optical scope. The eye relief is much much better than most others out there, (yeah, what eye relief right?). People wearing glasses will be able to enjoy this scope, and it works equally well when viewed directly pressed against your eyes. While attending an astronomy club's night out, one of the members offered to show me a globular cluster using his image stabilized binoculars (brand unknown). As I brought the portion of sky into focus, I pressed the button and -- WOW! I could clearly see the cluster, not because it was highly magnified, but because my eyes had a chance to focus and process the image. This items clarity is adequate for what I need. The lens span a little wide for my eyes even when closed completely. It is not compatible with Mac computers which I don't like. But the images are ok on a PC.
For the price it is a good set...
