Got two of these last christmas for my kids. Ended up paying around $50 each with discounts I had. For my kids age 8 and 14 these have been great. They love to make stop motion movies. It was well worth the money. And they've used them almost everday since christmas.Only had one problem and that was a knob fell off after my son dropped his but it still works. They may drop the price on them like they did last christmas, if they do snap one up for your kid.

This is a very stylish camcorder. But, as I wanted only a camcorder, for me it has too many left and unnecessary features (PC camera, MP3, etc.). I tried it right away and was a little bit disappointed. It is not usefull indoors or at night (do not have night shot features), and if the objective moves (or you move), the recorded image blurs also (do not have steady shot either). Maybe the producers can remove the PC camera, the MP3 and the voice recorder, and improve features more needed in a digital camcorder, such as the night shot and the steady shot.

Okay, this camera is pretty much outdated now that Aiptek and others have come out with their various HD cameras, but I got mine at a deep discount a couple of weeks before Christmas '07, so it was worth it to me.

I already had an Aiptek camera and decided to get this one because each camera has features that the other doesn't. My first one can be used as a webcam, which the mpvr+cb can't. The mpvr, however, has A/V in and can be used as a personal video recorder/player, which is a feature my other Aiptek doesn't have.

I use the older Aiptek mainly as a dashcam in my car, since its shape allows it to sit upright, leaning slightly on the lcd screen. It attaches to the dash with velcro.

I recieved 2 defective JVC GY-HD110's from Amazon. Sent them back and fronted the extra cash for this one. Best decision I have ever made. Recording to Compact Flash cuts my editing time in half. The battery time is 4 times longer with the stock battery than the JVC too! I love everything about it.
