Hello, I'm a student from Germany and I'm totally satisfied with this product.
What seperates this camera from similar ones is the lower focal length of 28mm which allows me to take good pictures in close surroundings.
It absolutely makes sense to spend a little more money for this feature!
AWESOME!!!

Pros: - Clear detail & high quality in both photos & videos
- Good battery endurance
- Helpful onboard Menu Guide & Menu System
- Facilitates Automation well (No knowledge of how to set up your shots necessary)
- Compact size
- Feature loaded! Great onboard interactive & PC features...
Cons: - Small onboard memory. It IS necessary to purchase a Memory Stick to coulpe with the Camera
- The sometimes grainy look of the LCD Display (though this is not an indication of how the shots/videos look)

I've had the K200D for about two weeks now and have no regrets. This is the best camera out there for the money. If you have any interest at all in learning to take better pictures this camera will be ready as you learn more, but it's also good for the true beginner with lots of auto modes to help you.
I think the things that make this better than the competition are 1) shake reduction in the body. When you start buying lenses you don't have to keep paying for that feature in every single lens (nikon VR?) 2)very durable body construction and weather/dust sealed. Any DA lenses you attach are as well. This is only available in cameras for the pros normally. 3)all pentax lenses for the last 3 or 4 decades can be used, some older manual ones need ... Read More:
I got this camera 6 months ago and have had mixed results with it. Electronic VR stabilization or not, the pictures I take turn out blurry about half the time I take them. That's pretty annoying when you're trying to capture the moment. I usually have to stand very, very still, prop the camera on a solid surface, or use the flash. My other complaint is that the photos tend to turn out really washed out if I take outdoor photos. Even on "vivid" mode the colors in the photos are dull. I usually have to lower the exposure compensation manually before I take a photo.
One good thing, I have to say, is the "night landscape" mode works really well if you use a tripod or set the camera up on a flat surface and use the timer. I've taken some amazing ... Read More:

This is my THIRD Canon Elph, and I enjoy each one more than the previous one. As a happy owner of an SD400, I moved onto this one as an upgrade and I have not been disappointed.
The functions of this one are even better than previous models. The video is actually SO great for a small point and shoot that I find myself using it more and more for clips of the kids and we watch the video on a HUGE screen tv and it looks great! I think redeye processing on this model has improved a bit over the previous model, but I still think it could do better. That's really my ONLY complaint with this camera.
I've taken great shots and had them blown up to posters for my wall. I love the fun color features of this camera as well. It does great night shots ... Read More:

nice features, very slim camera and no protruding lens. Must read the manual to fully understand the features. Where can you see a camera with 8MP 7X optical zoom with this kind of slim camera, with a very reasonable price.

For a starer like me, the product is amazing. Nice steady shot, smile shutter is good, but not of much use. The battery life is good too...
You do have to watch the price of this set carefully. When I put it on my wish list it was $149.00 which I thought was a good deal. However, when I decided to order it, it was $139.00, which for everything you get is well worth the price. We have just received it and everything is exactly like advertised. Both my husband and daughter already have this camera and think it's great. My daughter loves the video capabilities and my husband loves the size. We got this one for my son for christmas and paid the same amount for the set as we did for my daughters camera alone. The camera takes great pictures and is very easy to use. I would gladly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a great little digital camera.
Though I have E510. I actually tried and tested the E520 as well and picked E510 for the 2 kit lens deal and the extra features E520 has over E510 which I rarely care about. I thought to add my E510 review under this to give the readers a better idea about how the Olympus E510/E520 wins over the Canons XSi and Nikon D80 we tested. Hope this helps.
Myself and a Canon lover Friend and a Nikon lover Cousin were hunting for DSLRs. We had Film SLRs and few Point & Shoot Digis. We don't want to spend $1500+ for the DSLR and was waiting for the price to come down. When it reached $1000 mark, we started hunting for it and tried out few DSLR models in-stores by carrying our own flash memories and took few sample shots at the same lighting, focal length, ISO, f-Stop ...
