Pro: Very nice little Picture frame, especially for the money. Bright display and very easy to use. Even comes with a remote control.

Con: After rotating any pictures and turning the unit off, the frame looses the orientation of the previously rotated pictures on startup. A royal pain! I would think Kodak could fix this in a firmware update.

Info: A standard usb flash memory stick will stick out past the edge of the frame and looks like @#@, however I bought a neat little 2 GB miget usb/flash memory that solves that problem. http://www.kingston.com/flash/dtmini_migo.asp

The unit does not support the compact flash but has the ability to copy pictures from usb flash to any of the supported cards.

I just purchased the Samsung SPF-83V 8-Inch Wireless Digital Photo Frame for my parents.
Pros:
* Samsung makes a good looking LCD. The 800×600 looks good on an 8inch LCD.
* Auto on/off times
* Has a bunch of features like sound which I don't care about now but might later.
* No monthly fee for service.
* Worked easily with a WAP protected router.
Cons:
* The frame border is a little glossy for my taste.
* The right/left navigation buttons are backwards but they are only used in setup.
* Don't expect your parents to be able to set it up. It wasn't intuitive and I actually know computers.

What a frustrating product. I've had the picture frame for about a year, and I did try to research the best product. I hope this isn't the best. The frame comes with inadequate memory so you must add a memory card. The picture frame will format the card as FAT by default. That limits the number of pictures that can be stored to far below the capacity of the card. I got the dreaded error 0X80070052. Googling that error indicated that I needed to format the card in NTFS to be able to store more than about 150 pictures. It took more than 6 tries to format the card with NTFS.

Copying pictures to the card is an exercise in futility. I wanted to copy about 300 pictures to a 1 GB card. After 4 hours of slow copying and two blue ... Read More:

I bought this product after a lot of research. Choose this product as it has good memory (1GB) and can take up different cards for input. Directly plugin you card, there is no need to transfer images into onboard memory.

I am happy for my purchase.

Only issue it that the product is now $25 cheaper in Amazon since I purchased and I am not sure it Amazon have 30 day price guarantee.

Despite all my efforts, I couldn't get this to work with Mac OS X. Nowhere in the product information does it say it is Windows only, but it is. I expected more compatibility from a basic photo viewer.

Concept good BUT!
The remote controls on both of the TWO products that I bought fail to control the digital display as advertised. Generally, one finds the whole process of attempting to navigate using the remote to be very frustrating and ultimately one gives up. Simple commands such as advance one picture are ok, but anything more than that, particularly switching between folders (directories) on the memory card are all but impossible. Contrast controls are not particularly good in dealing with varying exposures.
