For the price, it works well in manual and automatic modes (on my C8080 I had to use either one of the manual modes, or one of MyModes). However, this flash was made before the era of digital SLR cameras. The TTL is really not compatible with any of the new SLR's from Olympus (the digital models are not even listed).
Also, it does not have a manual way of controlling flash output, and the flash does not rotate off of its base for lateral bounces (the flash head tilts fine).

I use this flash with my Pentax k200d, I puchased this flash after reviewing and trying out the Pentax 540fgz, and a Promaster model. The menu system is a little quirky to use but it did not take me long to figure everything out. I have used this flash on camera, on a Stroboframe, and wireless and it has preformed well in all areas. When I'm ready to buy a second flash it will be Metz thier fit and finish exceeds all others I looked at.
