This is a terrific flash unit. It delivers uniform lighting that yields excellent color and clarity. When combined with the internal pop up flash, there are no sharp shadows of the subjects in indoor photos. Also, the usable flash range is greatly extended thanks to the zoom feature of the flash and the interaction between the camera and the flash. It is well worth the extra cost.

I chose this flash due to my budget. But have not been disappointed. It may have a slow cycle time. In my type of photography with light, controlled environment that has not been an issue. For macro photography of animals/insects it has not seen that much action lately. Waiting on light stand to try out some strobist style shooting with this flash.

Very fast response from seller.
Lowest price found in the web.
Flash and housing are identical to Fantasea and Fujifilm models.
Only different in tray and arm configurations.
Actually the real manufacturer is "10bar" [..].
Solid construction.
Powerfull flash for its size.
Works very well with my Canon A70 and corresponding underwater housing.
Perhaps more experienced photographers would like to add a longer arm and tray to accomodate a focus light on the other side of the camera housing.

I'd like to give this product a better rating but I can't. It's not that I don't want to but I wasn't able to use it. When I received it I found that not only would it not fit onto my Sony A700 camera, but it would not accept my old Minolta flash units. I was hoping to save some money and use my old flash but looks like I'm going to have to buy a new flash unit for my new Sony camera. So before you buy this item be sure to confirm that it will work with the camera and flash you are planning to use it with.
