Works great on my Olympus Camedia 8080 wide. It is nice and small and so much better than the pop up flash on the camera. It charges fastn and has good battery life and has a detachable diffuser on the flash in package.
SB400 is a good alternative to the pop-up flash on a digital camera. The mail reason would be to extend camera battery life (the flash runs on its own batteries). The flash also allows you to bounce the flash off a ceiling to avoid red-eye. If you can afford it the SB800 or 900 would be a better option.
Rechargeable batteries and the diffuser work great as well.
Adorama we great in every way with e-mails throughout the whole order and shipping process.
Actually, this Alzo Wireless Kit is pretty useful. I have it for my Elinchrom D-Lite to Go set and I can say they really go for the distance announced and they failed just for a couple of shoots (One of the receivers have failed each time), wich is not a big issue, I know even Elinchrom Skyports fail sometimes, is seems to be normal.
It work in the four frequencies announced like a charm.
The only bad thing I can say about them is that the receiver may trigger themselves if you move your light with them on, probably because of the cord. This is why I didn't give 5 stars, but is really not a very big deal, you can attach them to your lights.
If your shooting with flashlight and you're a little short on budget ... Read More:
The flash works with the sony alpha. It fires nice when the picture is taken. The pictures turned out good. The flash seems to recharge pretty fast when the batteries are fresh. It is a very basic flash though, it does not work wireless, and the red eye reduction feature of the camera does not work with the flash. But for the money, if you are looking for a more powerful flash for basic photography with the sony alpha, I think it is ok.
This will be my second HVL-F1000, the first was a simple but effective flash for my Sony F707. I'm ordering this one for my Sony R1.
AntOnline lists the item as "In Stock" but THEY DO NOT ACTUALLY HAVE IT IN STOCK. Important, if you order this item, don't order it from AntOnline. I ordered 4 separate purchases through Amazon 8 days ago, and received all of them quickly, except the flash unit from AntOnline. I just now called their customer service (which hung up on me 3 times first) and they informed me the item was NOT in stock so Amazon had canceled my order. I recommend checking directly with AntOnline before ordering anything they claim to have in stock.
This is a knockoff of the Canon 550EX flash. It works great. I've had mine for three years now...and it is always trusty.
It uses Canon's E-TTL-II information just like My Canon 550EX flash...in fact I use it with the 550EX all the time.
It is such a great flash for the money I am buying another one.
I gave it 4 stars because it feels cheap and more "plastic" vs. my Canon 550EX, and it cycles slower than the Canon...but for the money it is a good unit.

THIS FLASH SUPLEMENTS THE FLASH ON TOP OF PENTAX MOUNT DIGITAL CAMERAS TO 6.3 MEGA-PIXELS. IT SEEMS WELL MADE AND COMES WITH A HANDY CASE. FOR MORE FLEXIBILITY ONE MIGHT SELECT THE NEXT SIZE UP OFFERED BY PENTAX, I BELIEBE THE MODEL 360. HOWEVER, THIS FLASH IS SMALL, LIGHT AND PORTABLE.
Just started playing with it. The feature set seems similar to the 580II I borrowed from Best Buy for 48 Hours before returning it.
The Sigma is definitely lighter, well built, comes with a slip case, and stand. Out of the Box in ETLII mode and doing straight shots and Bounce lighting they both seem to work quite well. I might say non-scientifically the Sigma might be a smidge more accurate. But to be fair I did not test them Side by Side and was not able to use all the Same subject matter.
The Sigma makes a little more noise when zooming. I thought the Sigma display was a little easier to read and the controls button seemed better, more straightforward. I do ... Read More:
