After spending a good 400$ on the camera, I thought it better be worth it, well it wasn't so bad, I actually have a Sony Cybershot camera which I bought last year, most of the technology is the same, except for a few changes, such as
Touch screen - Which of course consumes more battery
Smile shutter - Very amusing, If this is on, the cam just clicks away by itself whenever someone smiles to a particular smile level!
Battery Charger - compact as compared to the one I carry
various other features such as photo editing on the fly, internal memory, etc...

It's cheap and it fits great. It's used to keep the sun from getting in the camera and washing out your shot. I bought the "Canon" brand because even though they over-charge for all their stuff, it's well constructed and you know it's gonna fit.

After less than a month and about 400 pictures took it, I got a "Lens error, restart camera" (not the first one with this problem Canon should know about it so far). Without any drop or hitting the camera. I was on trip mad to not viable to take more pictures. There is no international warranty.

Don't hesitate on purchasing this replacement battery, it is every bit as good, maybe even better, than the battery that comes with the cameras. I am personally amazed by how long the life on these batteries are!

I am a wedding photographer. We have 3 Nikon SB 80's and 3-SB 800 units used weekly for the past 4 years. We also have 3 Canon 580 units which have worked flawlessly.

This year, I switched back from Canon to Nikon, and when the SB 900 appeared, I purchased it for my new Nikon D300 and D200 cameras. The first unit was Dead on Arrival. The replacement unit works well and has wonderful program and update capabilities. It is easy to use.

My only concern is the unit overheats very quickly when shooting wedding groups and bouncing the light off ceilings ect... This requires the strobe to do larger power dumps than would the flash if pointing directly at the subject....

Well this camera seemed amazing at first. It took clear pictures most of the time. But as i started to use it more and in different kinds of lighting that you can forget taking a decent picture after sundown. The image stabilization is poor and you have to fight the camera to focus on up close objects clearly.
HOwever it is a good camera and sturdy, takes great pictures during the day time though its focus is still off. or maybe thats just me? Sometimes ive gotten the shot i wanted with a bit of luck. My complaints about this camera are common for newer sony cybershots. You can't get everything you want in one package...
