Epson Perfection 1650 Photo Flatbed Scanner

This scanner, and possibly other Epson(tm) products will not work in CS3. Epson needs to update their drivers; a problem which they refuse accept responsibility for. It works perfectly for anything pre-CS3, but if you plan on upgrading at some point, you may be better off continuing your research. I have also heard reports that it is not just a mac problem, but I can't verify that.

I just spoke with Epson, and they tell me the manufacurer's suggested price for the Epson V350 is $129.99. Unless their customer service is mistaken, the one offered here on Amazon is overpriced.

Polaroid Portable Digital Photo Printer

I was disappointed with this product. I was not able to find filmpacks to use with it. I have never used it. The product came with no instructions. I had to go online to the company website to download a user guide. It was however reasonably priced and arrived promptly.

Brother MFC-665CW Photo Color All-in-One Printer with Wireless Networking

I purchased this model because of the "all-in-one" features. It can accomplish a variety of tasks, and for the most part, done it's job well.

HOWEVER... it's primary function is as a printer, and unbeknown to me at the time of purchase, Brother printers have a dirty secret, no one will tell you about.

Imagine, it's well past midnight, and you are rushing to complete that project or report before leaving for work, or school, first thing in the morning. It's time to finally print the job, and then get some sleep. We're not talking a multi-color task here; basic black and white, essentially all text.

Microtek 3800 ScanMaker Flatbed Scanner

Very good scanner under Windows XP with driver version 5.565 from Microtek Lab website. Though, there's no OS 10.5 Leopard compatible version of the driver to date and have the frustration of having a not fonctionnal scanner with my Mac. I hope that the Leopard driver will come out soon.

This printer worked great for about 3 years. After printing 200 or so pages of picture indexes some of the color jets seemed to be clogged. Then it stopped printing altogether. Diagnostic light flashed amber 7 times followed by green flash = failed print head. Why can't Canon replace this part for about $10?

HP PhotoSmart 7260 Inkjet Printer (Q3005A)

It worked for years, nicely printing many photos but...

Problems:

If for some reason if the Mac or PC didn't understand what 4x6 was, the printer would go ahead and print full width even when I had 4x6 photo paper loaded, it would basically spread ink all over the innards making a mess which I couldn't clean up, occasionally leaving black smudges on other prints.

Printing via Mac or PC was always a gamble. I never knew if it would actually print the size I wanted, costing time, and ink.

One day recently, the printer stopped working. It stopped feeding paper. Tech support chat Charles said it would be cheaper to buy a new printer than fix it. They suggested a bunch of printers > $100. But they wouldn't take ... Read More:

Canon CP-10 Card Photo Printer

Before purchasing this item, be sure you know what you're getting (I was unfortunately hasty). It's cute and tiny, to be sure, but so are its photos--the size of a credit card. And they're not cheap. The Canon CP-100 is slightly larger but for the extra "O" you're getting newer technology and a printer that offers photos of four different sizes.
