Have used this in an older version and in MAC format. This version has a few new enhancements still a great program and recommend it for anyone who wants to create a nice professional looking website. Recommend purchasing a book to get you up and running and to help you use this program especially if you are a first time user. I took an online course which really gave me suggestions for optimum use of this software. This works great with Fireworks, Photoshop.

Great application. Been using it for years after migrating from Macromedia (now Adobe) Director. Flash is the de facto online interactive design software out there right now. You can create sophisticated animations synced to sound as well as full blown interactive media and training projects. Excellent compression of assets which makes the output (SWF) files extremely small as compared to say Director Shockwave files. However, you cannot access the local client file system (i.e. you cannot save information on the client's machine) except through cookies for security reasons. This is one thing I miss about Director Lingo - you had full access to everything.

Microsoft Expression Web Upgrade from FrontPage [OLD VERSION]

This version of Expression is ok. I was expecting a much more rounded and intuitive product from Microsoft. It is still light years behind Dreamweaver. Not too many new features for my personal use. If you have the last version of Front Page don't waste the money on this product. Wait until Microsoft makes some real changes in the software before upgrading.

The creative suite 3.3 is the latest update in the Adobe suite, and the Design Standard bundle comes with everything a web programmer like me needs to do graphics for websites. Illustrator and Photoshop are recognized as the industry standard tools for the job for good reason, their functionality and features are unparalleled by anything else around. The suite is not for the feint of heart though as these tools are professional grade tools and as such require some introduction to use effectively. The menu styles and access methods for features is a little unusual for most windows users, but a good introduction book will cure that ill very quickly enabling you to get up to speed rapidly. Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Master Collection [OLD VERSION]

Anyone who gives the Master Collection less than five stars obviously doesn't know the product. I spent 4 months in a CS3 Illustrator class in college just learn advanced basics of Illustrator alone.
User friendly, intuitive and the industry standard over ANY Microsoft product, CS3 Master Collection if for serious geeks like me.
I cannot imagine trying to handcode HTML or XHTML without the wonders of Dreamweaver. I am much more productive and can crank out large websites in a matter of days instead of weeks. For serious Web designers, this product will pay for itself in the time you save hand coding and such. Worth every penny.
I would, however, recommend buying Adobe's "Training from the source" books to go along with the software. ... Read More:

I've been building web pages using Frontpage since its first release. I've upgraded all the way through 2003. I thought upgrading to Expression was a good idea, but it has been nothing but frustrating.

I'm not a novice. I work in Photoshop to build my own graphics for all my websites - personal and professional - never used a template in Frontpage. I built everything from the ground up, and I found Expression to be an exercise in tooth gnashing. Nothing works the way it should.

The help files are useless, and unless you want to pay for video tutoring on line you're left in the cold. I've bought two books, and neither was much help either. If I tried to build anything more complex than a basic html page, it failed. The CSS wouldn't ... Read More:
